Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur persepsi siswa tentang penggunaan Google Meet (G-Meet) dalam pengajaran bahasa Inggris di kelas tujuh SMPN 3 Tanjung Selor. Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Subyek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII A. Dalam pengumpulan data, peneliti menggunakan angket dengan google form. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan Skala Likert. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terhitung persepsi siswa 19 (67%) netral yang lebih tinggi dari persepsi siswa secara positif 2 (1%) dan negatif yaitu 11 (33%). Persepsi siswa selama penelitian dilakukan adalah hasilnya netral. Artinya siswa memiliki keahlihan dalam menggunakan aplikasi Google Meet, dengan memiliki skor persepsi 40,2. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan persepsi siswa terhadap penggunaan aplikasi Google Meet adalah siswa bisa menggunkan Google Meet dengan baik selama pembelajaran dilakukan dikelas ataupun diluar kelas.

The purpose of this research was to measure students' perception about the use of Google Meet (G-Meet) in teaching English in the seventh grade of SMPN 3 Tanjung Selor. This research used a descriptive quantitative design. The subjects of this research were all students of class VII A. The researcher utilized a Google Forms questionnaire with a Likert scale to collect the data. The finding showed that there were 19 (67%) neutral student perceptions, which outnumbered the I I (33%) positive and 2 (1%) negative ones. The perception of the student learned from the investigation was neutral. With a perception score of40.2, it meant that the students were capable in utilizing the Google Meet application. Thus, it was determined that students' perceptions of using the Google Meet application for learning both inside and outside of the classroom were favorable.
