Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas II Pada Tema Peristiwa dengan Menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Cooperative tipe Picture and Picture Di SDN 012 Tanjung Selor. Masalah yang umum ditemui di SDN 012 Tanjung Selor adalah rendahnya minat belajar siswa terahadap mata pelajaran (Eksak) diantaranya adalah IPA, sehingga mengakibatkan hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa dalam ulangan harian atau evaluasi sering kali jauh dari yang di harapkan yaitu mencapai nilai KKM 65. Hal itu disebabkan oleh penguasaan materi yang kurang oleh siswa, siswa malas belajar, dan siswa Siswa tidak mau memperhatikan penjelasan guru, Siswa kurang aktif dalam proses belajar mengajar, Siswa tidak mau bertanya (siswa pasif), Siswa sibuk bermain sendiri. Oleh karena itu guru sebagai pendidik harus memperhatikan masalah tersebut, salah satu solusinya adalah penggunaan pembelajaran tematik dengan pembelajaran koopratif dan menggunakan metode yang cocok agar siswa dapat berpikir kritis, logis, dan dapat memecahkan masalah dengan sikap terbuka, kreatif, dan inovatif salah satunya adalah model pembelajaran picture and picture.
Metode dalam penelitian penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus masing-masing siklus dilaksanakan 2 pertemuan, setiap siklus terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini meliputi: prestasi belajar siswa yang diambil dari pemberian soal tes pada akhir siklus, hasil pengamatan aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran dan hasil pengamatan observasi guru yang dibantu oleh teman sejawat, penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 24 April sampai 2 Mei 2012 dalam 2 siklus. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas II SD Negeri 012 Tanjung Selor Bulungan tahun ajaran 2011/2012 yang berjumlah 20 siswa.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan, yaitu pada siklus I dengan diperoleh hasil belajaran dengan rata-rata 64,5 tingkat ketuntasan 45% sedangkan siklus II dengan rata-rata 75 tingkat ketuntasan 90%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadinya peningkatan hasil belajar melalui pembelajaran tematik (IPA, Matematika, Bahasa Indonesia) pada tema peristiwa dengan model pembelajaran Cooperative tipe picture and picture pada Siswa Kelas II SD Negeri 012 Tanjung Selor Tahun ajaran 2011/2012.

Method in action research brazes that executed deep 2 cycle each cycle are performed 2 appointments, each cycle comprise of planning phase, action, observation, and reflection. Acquired data in this research covers: students learned achievement which taken from by problem application essays at the early cycle, activities observing result student in learning and observation watch result learns that aided by comate colleague, this research is executed on the fifteenth 24th April until May 2 2012 deep 2 cycles.
