Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS siswa di kelas IV A SDN 013 Tarakan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Mind Mapping.
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus yakni tanggal 21 Mei 2013 siklus I dan 24 Mei 2013 siklus II semester genap 2012/2013. Masing-masing terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar, lembar pengamatan aktifitas siswa dan lembar aktifitas pengamatan guru.
Hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I mencapai ketuntasan yaitu sebesar 41% dari 27 siswa sedangkan siklus II meningkat menjadi 78% dari 27 siswa.
Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Mind Mapping terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa SDN 013 Tarakan, karena nilai- nilai siswa telah memenuhi indikator kerja dan mendapat nilai di atas Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal.

The purpose of this research was to improve student’s learning achievement on social science at grade IV A SDN 013 Tarakan through Mind Mapping learning model. This research was conducted in two cycles. The first cycle was conducted on 21 May 2013 and the second cycle was conducted on 24 May 2013 on the second semester of academic year 2012/2013. Each cycle consists of four phases or stages that was planning, acting implementing, observing, reflecting. The instruments used to collect data were achievement test and observation aheets for teacher and students. The learning achievement of students in cycle on achieved the indicator of success 41 % from the 27 students whereas in cycle two student’s learning achievement increased to 78 % from the 27 students. Based on the data analysis technique, it could he concluded that the use of Mind Mapping learning model can improve student’s learning achievement on social science at grade IV A at SDN 013 Tarakan. It was proved by the scores of students which fulfill the indicator of success and the criteria of minimum competence. Keywords: Mind Mapping Learning Model, Learning Achievement on Social Science
