
Motivasi Dan Kepuasan Mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi Berdasarkan Peminatan Mata Kuliah Pilihan

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis motivasi dan kepuasan mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi berdasarkan peminatan mata kuliah pilihan. Jenis penelitian survei dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek pada penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi (120 mahasiswa). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara secara langsung kepada mahasiswa. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif dan dideskripsikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi mahasiswa dalam memilih mata kuliah pilihan ditinjau dari aspek intrinsik yaitu dari motivasi kepribadian 102 informan, motivasi prestasi 113 informan dan motivasi kesenangan 101 informan, sedangkan ditinjau dari aspek ekstrinsik yaitu dari metode pembelajaran 87 informan dan motivasi sosial 12 informan. Kepuasan mahasiswa dalam menempuh mata kuliah pilihan yaitu dari aspek kualitas pengajaran dalam perkuliahan sesuai dengan harapan mahasiswa, apabila mahasiswa merasa puas dengan kualitas pengajaran dalam perkuliahan, maka hal tersebut berpengaruh pula pada prestasi belajar mahasiswa. Interaksi dalam pembelajaran mata kuliah pilihan sangat baik, baik interaksi mahasiswa dengan dosen maupun mahasiswa dengan mahasiswa. Metode pembelajaran yang digunakan dosen saat perkuliahan mata kuliah pilihan secara online sesuai dengan materi yang diajarkan saat proses pembelajaran mata kuliah pilihan. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa dari aspek intrinsik mahasiswa mengatakan termotivasi dari motivasi kepribadian, motivasi prestasi dan motivasi kesenangan, yang memotivasi mahasiswa dalam memilih mata kuliah pilihan paling dominan yaitu motivasi prestasi sedangkan dari aspek ekstrinsik mahasiswa mengatakan termotivasi dari metode pembelajaran dan motivasi sosial, yang memotivasi mahasiswa dalam memilih mata kuliah pilihan paling dominan yaitu metode pembelajaran. Berdasarkan 3 aspek kepuasan mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi mahasiswa mengatakan merasa puas. Aspek kepuasan paling dominan yaitu kualitas pengajaran dalam perkuliahan dan interaksi dalam pembelajaran.

This study aimed to analyze the motivation and satisfaction of Biology Education students based on their specialization in elective courses. This type of survey research with a qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects in this study were Biology Education students (120 students). The collection of the data was carried out through direct interviews with students. Data were analyze qualitatively and described. The results showed that students' motivation in choosing elective courses was viewes from the intrinsic aspects, which were from the personality motivation of 102 informants, achievement motivation of 113 informants, and pleasure motivation of 101 informants. While from the aspect of extrinsic learning methods, the data got from 87 informants and the social motivation of 12 informants. Student satisfaction in choosing elective courses was based on the teaching quality aspect of lectures following student expectations. If student were satisfied with the quality of teaching, it also affected students' achievement. The interaction in the elective courses learning process was better for both the students with lecturers and students with students. The learning method used by lecturers when lecturing elective courses online is following the material taught during the learning process of elective courses. So it can be concluded that from the intrinsic aspect, students said they were motivated by personality, achievement, and pleasure motivation. One thing that motivated students in selecting the most dominant elective course was achievement motivation, while from the extrinsic aspect, students said they were motivated by learning methods and social motivation. The thing which motivated students in selecting the most dominant elective courses was the learning methode. Based on the three (3) aspects of Biology Education Student satisfaction, students said they were satisfied. The most dominant aspects of satisfaction were the quality of teaching in lectures and interactions in learning. Keywords: motivation, satisfaction, elective course.
