Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi siswa, guru, dan orang tua mengenai pembelajaran bahasa Inggris secara online pada masa pandemi covid19 di SMA Negeri 3 Malinau Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Dengan menggunakan teknik total sampling. Peneliti mengambil 32 siswa, 32 orang tua, dan 4 guru bahasa Inggris sebagai sampel penelitian ini. Data dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner, dan wawancara. Hasil kuesioner disajikan dalam bentuk persentase. Selanjutnya peneliti melakukan wawancara dan menuliskan hasil pengamatannya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan, 1) Persepsi siswa dari kuesioner, sebanyak 32,8% siswa berpendapat bahawa pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris secara online tidak memilik manfaat. 34,4% siswa berpendapat bahwa pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris secara online memiliki banyak kekurangan. Kemudian sebanyak 42,1% siswa tidak menerima pembelajar Bahasa Inggris dilakukan secara online, dan sebanyak 34,3% dari seluruh siswa memilih pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris secara tradisional dari pada secara online. 2) Persepsi guru dari kuesioner, 42,85% guru tidak merasakan kelebihan dari mengajar Bahasa inggris seacara online yang signifikan. 25% guru merasa bahwa mengajar skil Bahasa Inggris secara online tidak begitu efektif. Kemudian sebanyak 31,81% guru berpersepsi bahwa mengajar Bahasa Inggris secara online memilik banyak kekurangan. 3) Persepsi orang tua dari kuesioner, sebanyak 56,06% orang tua tidak setuju dengan pembelajaran Bahssa Inggris secara online, mereka lebih setuju jika pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris dilakukan secara offline atau tatap muka, dan sebanyak 43,93% orang tua beranggapan bahwa anak mereka tidak mengikuti dan menikmati pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris dengan baik.

The purpose of this study was to determine the perceptions of students, teachers, and parents toward online English learning class during the COVID-19 pandemic at SMA Negeri 3 Malinau Utara. This research used a qualitative descriptive method by using the total sampling technique. The researcher took 32 students, 32 parents, and 4 English teachers as the samples in this study. The data were collected with questionnaires and interviews. The results of the questionnaire were presented in the form of percentages. Next, the researcher conducted an interview and wrote down the results of the observations. The results of this study showed that (1) Student perceptions from the questionnaire was 32.8% of students think that online English learning had no benefits, 34.4% of students think that online English learning had many drawbacks. Then 42.1% of students did not accept English language learners to be done online, and 34.3% of all students chose traditional English learning rather than online learning. (2) The teacher perceptions from the questionnaire showed that 42.85% of teachers did not feel the advantages of teaching English as significantly online, 25% of teachers felt that teaching English skills in online was not effective. Then 31.81% of teachers perceive that teaching English online has many shortcomings. (3) Parents' perceptions from the questionnaire displayed that 56.06% of parents disagreed with online English learning. The Parents agreed that English learning was done offline or face-to-face and 43.93% of parents thought that their child did not follow and enjoy English online learning well.
