
Penerapan Teknik Modeling Simbolis Dalam Bimbingan Kelompok Untuk Meningkatkan Public Speaking Skills Pengurus OSIS SMA N 1 Tarakan

Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penerapan teknik modeling simbolis dalam bimbingan kelompok dapat meningkatkan public speaking skills pengurus OSIS SMA N 1 Tarakan. Public speaking merupakan keterampilan berbicara seseorang dalam menyampaikan pesan di depan banyak orang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen dengan desain one-group pretest – posttest. Adapun populasi penelitian yaitu pengurus OSIS di SMA Negeri 1 Tarakan yang berjumlah 56 siswa dan penarikan sampel yang digunakan Simple Random Sampling yang berjumlah 10 siswa. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan skala public speaking berdasarkan teori Ilham (2020), dengan uji hipotesis uji Wilcoxon. Terdapat 2 (20 %) pengurus memiliki tingkat public speaking skills sangat rendah, 4 (40 %) pengurus memiliki tingkat public speaking skills rendah, 1 (10 %) pengurus memiliki tingkat public speaking skills tinggi, dan 3 (30 %) pengurus memiliki tingkat public speaking skills sangat tinggi. Pada pemberian posttest terdapat 8 (80 %) pengurus memiliki tingkat public speaking skills sangat tinggi, dan 2 (20%) pengurus memiliki tingkat public speaking skills tinggi.Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan Wilcoxon diperoleh Zhitung - 2,807 < 0,0022 kemudian nilai sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,005 < 0,05. maka hipotesis yang berbunyi “bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik modeling simbolis dapat meningkatkan public speaking skills pengurus OSIS SMA N 1 Tarakan” diterima.

The purpose of this study was to determine the application of symbolic modeling techniques in group guidance to improve the public speaking skills of the student council at SMAN 1 Tarakan. Public speaking was a person's speaking skills in conveying messages in front of many people. This research was a quantitative approach research with experimental methods with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research population was the student council at SMA Negeri 1 Tarakan which amounted to 56 students and the sampling used Simple Random Sampling which amounted to 10 students. The research instrument used a public speaking scale based on Ilham (2020) theory with the Wilcoxon test hypothesis test. There were 2 (20 %) students had a very low level of public speaking skills, 4 (40 %) students had a low level of public speaking skills, 1 (10 %) student had a high level of public speaking skills, and 3 (30 %) students had a very high level of public speaking skills. In posttest provision, 8 (80 %) students had a very high level of public speaking skills, and 2 (20 %) students had a high level of public speaking skills. Based on the results of hypothesis test by using the Wilcoxon test, Z-test of - 2,807 < 0,0022 was obtained then the sig value (2-tailed) was 0,005 < 0,05. Therefore, the that reads "group guidance with symbolic modeling techniques can improve public speaking skills of the student council management of SMAN I Tarakan" was accepted.
