Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis teacher’s talk and students’s talk pada interaksi di dalam kelas delapan siswa putri di SMPIT Ulul Albab Tarakan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan april hingga mei 2022 di kelas delapan putri SMPIT Ulul Albab Tarakan. Dalam penelitian menggunakan sampel yaitu kelas delapan An-Nisa. Penentuan sampel berdasarkan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa interview guide, observation sheet dan dokumen. Berdasarkan hasil analisis FIAC (Flanders Interaction Analysis Category) menunjukkan bahwa skor tertinggi anatara teacher’s talk dan students’ talk ialah teacher’s talk yaitu 58.3%. Sementara students’ talk 41.1%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kategori yang ditemukan di kelas delapan An-Nisa adalah kategori Accept Feeling, Praise and Encorages, Accepts or Uses Student Ideas, Ask Questions, Lecturing, Giving Direction, Students Response, Student Initiation and Silence. Serta kategori paling dominan ialah Student Responses.

This research aimed to analyze teacher’s talk and students’ talk in the classroom interactions of the eighth-grade female students at SMPIT Ulul Albab Tarakan. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study method which was conducted from April to May 2022 in the eighth-grade female students of SMPIT Ulul Albab Tarakan. An English teacher and her students in the eighth-grade An-Nisa were determined purposively as the sample of the research. The instruments were an interview guide, observation sheet and documents. Based on the results of the FIAC (Flanders Interaction Analysis Category), the highest score between teacher’s talk and students’ talk was teacher’s talk, whih was 58.3%, while the students’ talk was 41.1%. The categories of talk found in An-Nisa were accept Feeling, Praise and Encourages, Accept or Uses Student Ideas, Ask Questions, Lecturing, Giving Direction, Student Response, Student Initiation and Silence.
