Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas V pada mata pelajaran IPA di SDN 005 Peso Hilir melalui pendekatan scientivic pada materi cahaya dan sifat-sifatnya.
Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus, yang masing-masing siklus terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini meliputi: hasil tes dan non tes pada akhir siklus dan aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran yang diambil dari lembar observasi.
Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar siswa dan aktivitas siswa kelas V pada mata pelajaran IPA di SDN 005 Peso Hilir melalui pendekatan scientivic pada materi cahaya dan sifat-sifatnya mengalami peningkatan. Hasil belajar siswa meningkat dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 9,5%. Aktivitas siswa pada siklus I sebesar 1,21% kemudian pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 79,58%. Kriteria yang dijadikan tolak ukur keberhasilan tindakan adalah pencapaian ketuntasan belajar dikelas yaitu 80%. Nilai rata-rata 65 sesuai indikator kompetensi yang ditetapkan.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan, pada siklus I diperoleh rata-rata hasil belajar siswa sebesar 65,5 dan persentase ketuntasan belajar sebesar 85%. Pada siklus II diperoleh rata-rata hasil belajar siswa sebesar 76 dan persentase ketuntasan belajar sebesar 100%. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar IPA melalui pendekatan scientific pada siswa kelas V SDN 005 Peso Hilir tahun pelajaran 2013/2014.

The aim of the research is to improve student learning outcomes in the classroom V IPA subject using a scientific approach of SDN 005 Peso Hilir in the eye of flight material and its properties. This study was a kind of classroom action research classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of stage action planning, observation, and reflection. Data obtained in this study this include test and non-test result at the end of the cycle and the activities of student in the learning derived from the observations. The Final Product of the research was student learning out comes and student activity classes on subjects ipa V of SDN 005 Peso Hilir approach scientific on the material properties of flight and its increased. Increased student learning outcomes of the cycle I to cycle II of 9,5%. Activity student in cycle I of 1,21% then on the second cycle increased to 79,58%. Criteria were used as a benchmark measure of success is the achievement of mastery learning in the classroom namely 80%. Average value of 65 according to the indicators of competence in the set. Based on the results of research that was been conducted, in cycle I gained an average of student learning outcomes for 65,5 and percentage passing grade of 85% in the second cycle gained an average of 76 student’s learning outcomes and learning completeness percentage 100%. Of the results showed that an increase in learning outcomes IPA through a scientific approach in grade V SDN 005 Peso Hilir learning year in 2013/2014.
