Berdasarakan hasil observasi, pada siswa kelas 004 Peso Hilir ditemukan adanya permasalahan, yaitu 1) Siswa kurang memperhatikan penjelasan guru, 2) Siswa tidak berani bertanya walaupun siswa tersebut belum memahami matei pelajaran, 3) Hasil belajar siswa yang masih kurang, 4) Saat diberikan tugas siswa sering menyelesaikannya.
Jenis Penelitian yang digunakan oleh penelitian adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan di SDN 004 Peso Hilir pada semester II tahun ajaran 2013/2014, dengan subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV 004 Peso Hilir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA aspek kognitif, psikomotorik dan afektif siswa pada materi Lambang Bilangan Romawi menggunakan model model pembelajaran kooperaf tipe Index Card Match di kelas IV SDN 004 Peso Hilir. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus dimana setiap siklus teriri atas 2 kali pertemuan, Instrumen penelitian untuk memperoleh data perkembangan siswa adalah observasi terhadap perilaku siswa, lembar penilaian aspek psikomotorik, lembar penelitian aspek afektif, dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahw terjadi peningkatan pada hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil yang diperoleh pada setiap siklus, pada siklus I pertemuan pertama dengan nilai rata- rata 7,08, pertemuan ke dua dengan nilai 8,29, dan pada suklus ke II pertemuan 1 dengan nilai 8,56, pertemuan kedua dengan nilai 8,89. Maka dapat dikatakan bahwa penelitian sudah berhasil dan sesuai dengan indikator keberhasilan.
Berasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Index Card Match dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar Matematika pada materi Lambang Bilangan Romawi siswa kelas IV SDN 004 Peso Hilir.

Based on the results of observation, the fourth grade students of SDN 004 Peso Downstream found any problems, namely 1) students' lack of attention to the teacher's explanation, 2) students did not dare to ask even if the student did not understand the subject matter, 3) student learning outcomes are still lacking, 4) when given the task students often do not do it. The type of research that is used by researchers is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which was conducted in 004 Peso SDN Downstream in the second semester of the school year 2013/2014, the research subjects were 004 fourth grade students Peso downstream. This research aims to improve science learning outcomes cognitive, psychomotor, and affective student on the material emblem of the Roman Numbers using cooperative learning model Index Card Match in fourth grade Downstream SDN 004 Peso. research was conducted in two cycles with each cycle consisting of 2 meetings, instruments to obtain student growth data is the observation of student behavior, affective aspects of the study sheets, and achievement test. the results showed that an increase in student learning outcomes. this can be seen from the results obtained in each cycle, the first cycle of the first meeting with an average value of 7.08, the second meeting with a value of 8.29, and the second cycle 1 meeting with a value of 8.89. it can be said that the research has been successful and is in conformity with the indicators of success. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that by implementing cooperative learning model Index Card Match can improve learning outcomes in Mathematics in the material emblem of the Roman Numbers 004 fourth grade students of SDN Peso downstream.
