Abstract

Tujuan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA materi Ciri-ciri Makhluk Hidup menggunakan model metode pembelajaran Picture and Picture di kelas III SDN 003 Sesayap Hilir. Dalam pelaksanaan penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus. Bentuk tes berupa soal pilihan ganda dan isian. Soal disesuaikan dengan tujuan instruksional khusus yang telah dirumuskan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III SDN 003 Sesayap Hilir dengan jumlah siswa 10 orang. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah data kualitatif (sikap siswa) dan kuantitatif (nilai hasil belajar siswa).
Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar IPA siswa melalui penerapan metode Picture and Picture pada materi Ciri-ciri Makhluk Hidup. Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa meningkat dari 72,7% pada siklus I menjadi 83,3% pada siklus II. Peningkatan tersebut membuktikan bahwa tingkat penguasaan siswa dapat dikategorikan baik.

The objective of this research is to improve students’ learning achievements on Natural Science subject’s material of Characteristics of Living Creature by using Picture and Picture model at third grade students of SDN 003 Sesayap Hilir. In conducted this research, the researcher used Classroom Action Research (CAR) with two cycles. The tests were in the form of multiple choices and filled questions. The questions were suited with special instructional purpose which has been formulated. The subjects of this research were 10 third grade students of SDN 003 Sesayap Hilir. The techniques of data analysis used were qualitative data (students’ attitudes) and quantitative data (students’ learning achievements). The analysis results showed that there was an improvement on students’ learning achievements on Natural Science subject by the application of Picture and Picture model on the material of Characteristics of Living Creature. The mean of the students’ achievements improved from 72.7% at cycle I to 83.3% at cycle II. That improvement proved that students’ masteries level can be categorized as good.
