Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola penyebaran tumbuhan paku suku Polypodiaceae di Resort Pengelolaan Hutan Barat Kawasan Hutan Lindung Pulau Tarakan serta mengembangkan sumber belajar berupa atlas. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan Borg and Gall, namun penelitian ini dibatasi sampai tahap kelima yaitu tahap revisi produk dari hasil uji coba terbatas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis tumbuhan paku suku Polypodiaceae yang ditemukan berjumlah 5 spesies dengan total 16 individu. Indeks morisita tumbuhan paku suku Polypodiaceae cenderung mengelompok (clumped), hal ini disebabkan oleh suhu, intensitas cahaya dan tumbuhan paku bereproduksi dengan rimpang yang menghasilkan anakan vegetatif yang masih dekat dengan induknya. Hasil analisis sumber belajar berupa atlas pada materi Plantae yang berjudul eksistensi Polypodiaceae di kawasan Juata Kerikil berdasarkan ahli materi sebesar 96%, ahli media sebesar 86%, praktisi 94% dan respon siswa sebesar 89%. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa sumber belajar yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar pembelajaran biologi.

This research is aimed to find out the distribution pattern of Fern in family of Polypodiaceae in West Forest Management Resort of Tarakan Island Nature Reserve Area and to develop an atlas. The research design is Research and Development (R&D) with Brog and Gall model limited to the fifh stage which is product revision stage from limited trial result. The result showed that there are 5 species of Polypodiaceae found in the location with the total of 16 individuals. The result of morisita index shows that of Polypodiaceae family tend to have clumped type distribution, it was caused by temperature, light intensity and Fern reproduction that uses rhizomes and producing vegetative seedlings. Fherefore they are close each other. The result of product analysis which is atlas on Plantae material titled the existence of Polypodiaceae in Juata Kerikil area shows that score from is on material expert 96%, media expert is 86%, 94% practitioner and student response is 89%. Validation results indicate that atlas is suitable for Biology learning resource.
