Abstract
Udang windu salah satu komoditas unggulan perikanan yang dikembangkan secara optimal karena memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi baik di pasaran lokal dan internasional. Pembudidaya udang sering mengeluhkan rendah mutu benur yang menyebabkan laju pertumbuhan udang tidak optimal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menguji potensi tumbuhan karamunting sebagai growth promotor untuk meningkatkan laju pertumbuhan benur udang windu Penaeus monodon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pertumbuhan panjang mutlak, pertumbuhan bobot mutlak menunjukkan nilai yang berbeda nyata, dan Survival Rate menunjukkan nilai berbeda nyata antar perlakuan. Data pengukuran kualitas air dalam nilai yang baik yaitu suhu 27-28 oC, pH 7,5-8, DO 4,56-5,26 dan Salinitas 27-30 ppt. Rancangan percobaan penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan K (Kontrol) Perendaman tanpa eekstrak Perlakuan P1 (25 ppm) Perlakuan P2 (50 ppm) dan P3 (75 ppm) dengan perendaman ekstrak selama 24 jam.

The fact that tiger shrimp has a high economies worth on both domestic and international markets makes it one of the top fishery products that is exploited to its full potential. A reduction in the quality of the used fry is said to be one of the reasons why shrimp production from aquaculture activities is currently remains subpar. Shrimp producers frequently lament the poor quality of the fry, which results in an unfavorable growth rate for the shrimp. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the karamunting leaf extract as the growth promotor to speed up the growth of tiger shrimp fry (penaeus monodon). The experimental design of this study used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of four treatment and their replications. Treatment K (Control) soaking without extract treatment P1 (25 PPM) treatment P2 (50 PPM) and P3 (75 PPM) with extract soaking for 24 hours. Water quality measurement data in good value, name temperature 27 -28 Oc, Ph 7,5-8 DO 4,56-5,26 and salinity 27-30 ppt. The result indicated absolute length growth, absolute weight growth, and survival rate between treatment all showed significantly different value.
