Abstract
Pada masa pandemi COVID-19 pembelajaran tidak lagi dilakukan secara tatap muka melainkan pembelajaran dilakukan secara BDR (Belajar dari Rumah), oleh karena itu peran orang tua sangat penting dalam mendampingi anak belajar dari rumah. Namun pada masa pandemi ini pembelajaran belum terlaksana maksimal diakibatkan kurangnya orang tua mendampingi anak belajar. Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dampak peran orang tua terhadap anak dalam mendampingi pembelajaran anak dari rumah pada siswa kelas IV SDIT Ibnu Abbas Tarakan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan lokasi penelitian yaitu di SDIT Ibnu Abbas Tarakan. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah wali kelas IV, orang tua siswa, dan siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Proses analisis data melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik keabsahan data yang digunakan adalah triangulasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini tentang peran orang tua dalam mendampingi anak belajar dari rumah dapat disimpulkan bahwa orang tua telah melaksanakan perannya dalam pembelajaran daring dari rumah dibuktikan hasil wawancara dan observasi yaitu orang tua telah membimbing serta mendampingi anak belajar dirumah mendidik yang efektif, orang tua memberikan fasilitas penunjang pembelajaran yang disediakan orang tua berkaitan perangkat elektronik seperti HP dan kouta internet, orang tua memberikan semangat serta motivasi, orang tua sebagai director dengan mengarahkan dan membimbing anak ketika belajar terhadap instruksi yang diberikan guru dapat dipahami dan dikerjakan.

The role of parents is crucial in assisting children learn from home during the COVID-19 pandemic since learning is now done through BDR (Learning from Home), rather than face-to-face instruction. However, because parents were not taking their children to school during this pandemic, learning was not carried out as well as it may have been. In light of this, the purpose of this study was to analyze how parents' assistance of their children learn from home affected class IV students at SDIT Ibnu Abbas Tarakan. This study employed a descriptive qualitative methodology, and SDIT Ibnu Abbas Tarakan served as the research site. Class IV homeroom teacher, parents, and students were the subjects of this study. Observation, interviews, and documentation were utilized as data collection methods. The method of analyzing data were done by data reduction, data display. and inference. Triangulation was the method used to ensure data authenticity. The findings of this study showed that the role of parents in assisting children learn from home, parents had fulfilled their responsibility for online learning at home, as shown by the findings of interviews and observations. In particular, parents had guided and accompanied children to study at home, effective education, parents provided facilities learning support provided by parents regarding electronic devices such as cellphones and internet quotas, parents providing encouragement and motivation, parents as directors by directing and guiding children when learning the instructions given by the teacher can be understood and done.
