Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh layanan penempatan dan penyaluran terhadap life skill siswa kelas XI di SMK Kesehatan Kaltara Tarakan Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pre experimental design dengan bentuk one group pretest-posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu 71 siswa kelas XI SMK Kesehatan Kaltara Tarakan dan sampel 30 siswa dengan teknik purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan skala life skill dengan skala likert. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis deskriptif dan inferensial dengan menggunakan program SPSS 22.0 for windows.
Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan Uji T-test Paired Samples Test dengan analisis menggunakan SPSS 22.0 for windows diperoleh nilai thitung= 19,917 dan ttabel yaitu 2,045, menunjukan bahwa thitung > ttabel yaitu 19,917 > 2,045 maka H0 ditolak yang berarti bahwa ada perbedaan life skill siswa sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan layanan penempatan dan penyaluran. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa layanan penempatan dan penyaluran mempunyai pengaruh terhadap siswa yang memiliki Life Skill kecakapan personal, kecakapan sosial, kecakapan akademik, dan kecakapan vokasional siswa kelas XI di SMK Kesehatan Kaltara Tarakan tahun pelajaran 2016/2017.

This research aims to investigate the influence of the placement service and the distribution of the students’ life skill at the XI of SMK Kesehatan Kaltara Tarakan in academic year 2016/2017. The research design of this research was pre-experimental design in terms of one group pretest-posttest. The population of this research were 71 students at the eleventh grade students of SMK Kesehatan Kaltara Tarakan and the sample were 30 students with the purposive sampling technique as the sampling technique. The technique of the data collection of this research used life skill scale and likert scale. The technique of the data analysis of this research was descriptive analysis technique and inferesial by using the SPSS 22.0 for windows program. Based on the result of T-test Paired Samples Test which was analyzed by using SPSS 22.0 for windows, the ttest = 19,917 and the ttable is 2,045, it showed that ttest > ttable namely 19,917 > 2,045 means H0 is rejected that there was students’ life skill differences before and after the treatment in term of the placement service and the distribution. It can be concluded that the placement service and the distribution has an influence on the students’ life skill personal competence, social competence, academic competence, and vocational competence at the eleventh grade students of SMK Kesehatan Kaltara Tarakan in academic year 2016/2017.
