Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah tingkat penyesuaian diri siswa sebelum pemberian layanan orientasi bidang bimbingan belajar, tingkat penyesuaian diri siswa setelah pemberian layanan orientasi bidang bimbingan belajar, pengaruh layanan orientasi bidang bimbingan belajar terhadap tingkat penyesuaian diri siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tarakan tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh layanan orientasi bidang bimbingan belajar terhadap penyesuaian diri siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tarakan tahun pelajaran 2015/2016.
Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pre-experimental design dengan bentuk one group pre-test-post-test design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu 350 siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tarakan dan sampel 30 siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tarakan. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan skala penyesuaian diri dengan skala skala likert. Penelitian ini menggunakan rumus product moment untuk uji validitas skala penyesuaian diri dengan hasil 60 butir pernyataan terdapat 39 butir yang valid. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitain ini adalah teknik analisis deskriptif dan statistic inferensial dikorelasikan menggunakan program SPSS for windows.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian sebelum dan sesudah pemberian perlakuan, diperoleh hasil perhitungan uji hipotesis diperoleh t-hitung sebesar 25,574 sementara t-tabel dengan db N-1 = 29 dan taraf signifiakan 5% (0,05) sebesar 1,699. Berdasarkan hasil pengolaan t-test dengan menggunakan SPSS for windows menunjukkan t-hitung > t-tabel atau 25,574 > 1,699, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh layanan oreintasi bidang bimbingan belajar terhadap penyesuian diri siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tarakan tahun pelajaran 2015/2016.

The problem in this research is the degree of adjustment to the students prior to the service delivery orientation of the field of tutoring, the level of students adjustment after the service orientation of the field of tutoring, the influence of the service orientation of the field of study guidance on the level of class adjustment VIII SMPN 1 Tarakan in the academic year 2015 / 2016. The aims of this research to determine the effect of the orientation of the field of tutoring services to the adjustment VIII grade students of SMPN 1 Tarakan in the academic year 2015/2016. Kind of the research is a pre-experimental design to form one group pre-test post-test-design. Population in this research were 350 from students of VIII SMPN 1 Tarakan class and a sample of 30 from students of VIII SMPN 1 Tarakan class. Collecting data method in this study using the adjustment scale with the Likert scale. This study uses a formula product mement to test the validity of the adjustment scale with the results of 60-point declaration that there were 39 valid items. The techniques of data analysis in this research is descriptive analysis techniques and inferential statistics on the correlation using SPSS for windows. Based on the research the results before and after treatment, the result of hypothesis test calculation obtained t-count amounted to 25.574 while the t-table with db N-1=29 and a significant level of 5% (0.0.5) of 1.699. Based on the processing results t-test using SPSS for windows showed t-count > t-table or 25 574 > 1,699, it can be concluded that there is influence the orientation of the field of tutoring services to the class adjustment VIII SMPN 1 Tarakan the academic year 2015/2016.
