Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jenis mulsa organik (jerami padi, sekam padi dan arang sekam padi) terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kacang panjang. Penelitian disusun menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan perlakuan tanpa mulsa tanpa pupuk (M0), tanpa mulsa dan pupuk (M1), mulsa jerami padi dan pupuk (M2), mulsa sekam padi dan pupuk (M3), mulsa arang sekam padi dan pupuk (M4). Parameter yang diamati yaitu tinggi tanaman, umur berbunga, jumlah polong, berat polong, dan berat kering tanaman. Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA (Analisis of Varians) taraf 5 % dan uji lanjut dengan uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT) taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan jenis mulsa organik berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kacang panjang. Perlakuan mulsa jerami padi dan pupuk (M2) memberikan hasil terbaik pada tinggi tanaman di umur 20 dan 30 hari setelah tanam (HST), umur berbunga, jumlah polong, berat polong, dan berat kering tanaman kacang panjang dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya.

The research was aims to determine the effect of mulch types organic (rice straw, rice husk and charcoal rice husk) to growth and yield of long bean plants. The study prepared by using treatment Randomized Block Design (RBD) consist of: firstly, the plants without mulch and fertilizer (M1). Secondly, the plants given mulch of rice straw and fertilizer (M2). Thirdly, the plants given mulch rice husk and fertilizer(M3. The last, the plants given mulch charcoal of rice husk and fertilizer (M4). The indicator observed were height of plants, period of flowering, number of pods, weight of the pods, and dry weight of plants. The Data were analyzed by using ANOVA Model (Analysis of Variants) of 5% level and continued with the Least Significant Difference (LSD) of 5% level. The result shows that mulch organic type treatment give significant effect to the growth and yield of long bean. Rice straw and fertilizer treatment (M2) give the best results in height at 20 and 30 days after plantation, flowering age, number of pods, weight of pods and weight of dry plant than other.
