Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak penerapan platform pembelajaran daring di masa pendemi COVID-19 terhadap hasil belajar mata pelajaran IPA kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Tarakan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskripsi kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 42 siswa kelas VIII yang diambil dari populasi sebagian siswa kelas VIII berjumlah 7 kelas yang terdiri dari 219 siswa dan 2 guru mata pelajaran IPA di SMP Negeri 7 Tarakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Platform yang digunakan di SMP Negeri 7 Tarakan adalah platform google meet dan google classroom. Guru mata pelajaran IPA dan 42 siswa yang di wawancara mengatakan selama pembelajaran daring berlangsung menggunakan platform pembelajaran google classroom dan google meeting. Pengunaan platform selama pembelajaran daring di SMP Negeri 7 Tarakan berdampak pada hasil belajar siswa dimana nilai siswa menjadi tidak maksimal. Data yang didapatkan yaitu nilai rata-rata siswa semester ganjil sebesar 68 dan semester genap sebesar 66,23. Berdasarkan nilai tersebut maka dapat diketahui bahwa nilai siswa mengalami penurunan. Selain itu, dampak yang dialami siswa selama pembelajaran daring antara lain siswa kurang memahami materi yang disampaikan guru, siswa tidak dapat bertanya secara langsung dengan guru dan kurangnya interaksi siswa dengan guru. Dampak yang dialami guru selama pembelajaran daring antara lain siswa susah memahami materi yang disampaikan oleh guru dan terdapat beberapa guru yang kurang memahami penggunaan teknologi informasi

This study aimed to determine the impact of implementing an online learning platform during the COVID-19 pandemic toward the learning outcomes of science subjects at class VIII of SMP Negeri 7 Tarakan. The research method used in this study was a qualitative description. The subjects in this study were 42 students of class VIII which taken from a population of 7 classes, consisting of 219 students and 2 science teachers at SMP Negeri 7 Tarakan. The results of this study showed the platforms used at SMP Negeri 7 Tarakan were Google meet and Google classroom. The science teacher and 42 students who were interviewed conveyed that during online learning they used Google Classroom and Google Meeting learning platforms. The impact during the implementing of online learning platform at SMP Negeri 7 Tarakan was the student learning outcomes or student scores are not optimal. From the data obtained showed that the average score of odd semester students was 68 and even semester was 66.23. Based on this score, it can be seen that the students' score had decreased. In addition, the impact experienced by the students during online learning was students cannot understand the material presented by the teachers, ask questions directly to the teacher and lack of interaction between students and teachers. The impacts experienced by teachers during online learning were students have difficulty in understanding the material conveyed by the teachers and there were some teachers did not understand about the use of information technology.
