Siswa yang memiliki kelekatan (attachment) yang baik dengan keluarga dapat mengontrol dirinya dengan baik, begitupun sebaliknya siswa yang memiliki kelekatan (attachment) yang rendah terhadap keluarga tidak akan dapat mengontrol diri nya dengan baik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Hubungan Kelekatan (attachment) Keluarga dengan Kontrol Diri Siswa SMP Negeri 1 Tarakan Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang menggunakan metode korelasional dengan populasi sasaran yaitu seluruh siswa SMP Negeri 1 Tarakan yang berjumlah 1039 Siswa. Teknik sampling menggunakan random sampling dengan ukuran jumlah sampel 100 dari populasi, sehingga jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 34 siswa kelas VII, 33 siswa kelas VIII, 33 siswa kelas IX sehingga berjumlah 100 siswa. Pengelolahan data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif, teknik analisis inferensial, dan uji korelasi product moment dengan SPSS versi. 22.0. Berdasarkan analisis data, disimpulkan bahwa : (1) Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis, nilai signifikan sebesar (0,000 < 0,05) maka Ha yang berbunyi “ada hubungan antara kelekatan (attachment) keluarga dengan kontrol diri” diterima, memiliki tingkat hubungan cukup kuat dengan persentase sebesar 51,1%. Dengan demikian terdapat hubungan antara kelekatan (attachment) keluarga dengan kontrol diri pada siswa SMP Negeri 1 Tarakan. (2) Dari 100 siswa yang menjadi sampel penelitian, terdapat 7 (7%) siswa memiliki kelekatan (attachment) sangat tinggi, 51 (51%) siswa memiliki kelekatan (attachment) rendah, (3) Pada Kontrol Diri terdapat 8 (8%) siswa memiliki kontrol diri sangat tinggi, 51 (51%) siswa memiliki kontrol diri rendah.

Students who have a strong attachment with their family have good self-control. On the other hand, students who have a weak attachment to their families do not have good self-control. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family attach-ment and self-control of students at SMP Negeri 1 Tarakan in the Academic Year of 2021/2022. This research used a correlational method with the target population of 1039 (all) students of SMP Negeri 1 Tarakan. This research used a random sampling technique, with 100 total samples from the population. The number of samples in this study was 34 stu-dents of Grade VII, 33 students of Grade VIII, and 33 students of Grade IX, so the total num-ber was 100. The data was processed using descriptive analysis techniques, inferential anal-ysis techniques, and product-moment correlation tests with the SPSS version. 22.0. Based on data analysis, it was concluded that based on the results of hypothesis testing, (a) a signifi-cant value is 0.000 < 0,05, then the alternative hypothesis (Ha) which reads “there is a relationship between family attachment and self-control” was accepted, had a moderately-strong level of relationship with a percentage of 51.1%. Thus, there was a relationship between family attachment and self-control in students of SMP Negeri 1 Tarakan. (2) Of the 100 students who became the research sample, there were 7 (7%) students had a very strong attachment, 51 (51%) students had a weak attachment, (3) In Self-Control there were 8 (8%) students have very high self-control, 51 (51%) students have low self-control.
