Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi komoditi pertanian yang menjadi komoditi pertanian basis masing-masing kecamatan di Kota Tarakan, mengidentifikasi perubahan posisi komoditi pertanian basis di Kota Tarakan pada masa yang akan datang dan mengidentifikasi komponen pertumbuhan proporsional komoditi pertanian basis pada masing-masing kecamatan di Kota Tarakan.
Metode yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif dengan alat analisis Location Quotient (LQ), analisis Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ), dan Analisys Shift Share (SSA). Data yang digunakan berupa data nilai produksi tanaman pangan, tanaman sayur-sayuran, dan tanaman buah-buahan selama kurun waktu delapan tahun (2007-2014).
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komoditi pertanian yang menjadi komoditi basis di Kota Tarakan terdiri dari padi, jagung, ubi kayu, petai/sawi, kangkung, bayam, terong, cabe besar, kacang panjang, ketimun, buncis, tomat, salak, papaya, pisang, nenas, mangga/kueni, nangka, jeruk, dan sirsak. Perubahan posisi komoditi basis pada masa yang akan datang terjadi pada semua komoditi tanaman pangan, komoditi sayur-sayuran, dan komoditi buah-buahan. Komoditi yang mengalami pertumbuhan cepat di Kota Tarakan terdiri dari komoditi padi, ubi kayu, bawang daun, cabe besar, cabe kecil, terong, ketimun, buncis, salak, papaya, rambutan, mangga/kueni, sukun, dan sirsak.

The objectives of this study were first to identify superior agricultural commodities of each district, second to identify the changes position of superior agricultural commodities in the future and to identify the proportional growing components of superior agricultural commodity in each districts in Tarakan city. The research method used in this study was descriptive research method and the for the analysis means it used Location Quotient (LQ), Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ), and Shift Share Analysis (SSA). The used Data were in the form of crop production value, such as vegetables, and fruits which were taken during the period of eight years (2007-2014). The results showed that the agricultural commodities which are the superior ones in Tarakan City consist of rice, corn, cassava, banana/mustard greens, kale, spinach, eggplant, peppers large, long beans, cucumbers, beans, tomatoes, bark, papaya, banana, pineapple, manggo/kueni, jackfruit, oranges, and soursop. The changing of superior commodity positions for the future occur for all kind of crops, vegetables and fruits. Commodities which are rapidly growing in Tarakan, consist of rice, cassava, onion, big chili, small chili, eggplant, cucumber, beans, bark, papaya, rambutan, manggo/kueni, breadfruit, and soursop.
