Abstrak Indonesia

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan ekstrak daun karamunting (melastoma malabathricum) pada laju pertumbuhan benih ikan lele (clarias sp) penelitian dilakukan di mini hatchery fakultas perikanan dan ilmu kelautan universitas borneo tarakan. metode penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan 4 perlakuan 3 ulangan, perlakuan kontrol (k) : pakan komersil ( tanpa ekstrak daun karamunting ), p1 : pakan komersil dengan penambahan ekstrak daun karamunting 50 mg/kg, p2 : pakan komersil dengan penambahan ekstrak daun karamunting 100 mg/kg dan p3 : pakan komersil dengan penambahan ekstrak daun karamunting 150 mg/kg. hasil penelitian menunjukkan pertumbuhan bobot ikan lele tertinggi didapakan pada perlakuan ekstrak 150 mg/kg, yakni 2 g, sedangkan untuk pertumbuhan panjang ikan lele tertinggi pada perlakuan ekstrak 150 mg/kg yakni 1,88 cm. nilai laju pertumbuhan spesifik tertinggi diperoleh untuk perlakuan ekstrak 150 mg/kg, yakni 2.95 % dan nilai kelangsungan hidup tertinggi juga diperoleh pada perlakuan ekstrak daun karamunting 50 mg/kg, sebesar ,yaitu 65%. nilai fcr terendah didapatkan untuk perlakuan 150 mg/kg yaitu sebesar 1,26%. ekstrak daun karamunting memberikan pengaruh yang positif pada laju pertumbuhan benih ikan lele dibandingkan dengan perlakuan kontrol. kata kunci: benih, melastoma malabatrihcum, growth, sgr, fcr

This research aims to determine the use of karamunting leaf extract (melastoma malabathricum) on the growth rate of catfish seeds (clarias sp) the research was conducted in mini hatchery faculty of fisheries and marine sciences university of borneo tarakan. research method using experimental method with 4 treatments 3 repetitions, control treatment (k): commercial feed (without karamunting leaf extract), p1: commercial feed with the addition of karamunting leaf extract 50 mg/kg, p2: commercial feed with the addition of karamunting leaf extract 100 mg/kg and p3: commercial feed with the addition of caramunting leaf extract 150 mg/kg. the results showed that the highest weight growth of catfish was obtained in the extract treatment of 150 mg/kg, which is 2 g, while for the growth of catfish length the highest in the treatment of extract 150 mg/kg which is 1.88 cm. the highest specific growth rate value was obtained for the treatment of 150 mg/kg extract, which is 2.95 % and the highest survival value was also obtained for the treatment of karamunting leaf extract 50 mg/kg, which is 65 %. the lowest fcr value was obtained for the treatment of 150 mg/kg which is 1.26%. karamunting leaf extract gave a positive effect on the growth rate of catfish seeds compared to the control treatment. keywords: seed, melastoma malabatrihcum, growth, sgr, fcr
