Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui miskonsepsi siswa kelas xiimiasma negeri 3 tarakan dengan menggunakan metode certainty of response index (cri). jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik probability samping yaitu seluruh siswa xii mia. pengumulan data mengunakan instrumen tes berbentuk pilihanberalasan terbuka disertai kolom cri. berdasarkan hasil penelitian kelas xii sma negeri 3 tarakan siswa mengalami miskonsepsi dengan persentase rata-rata 37,32%. miskonsepsi tertinggi terdapat pada butir soal 19 dengan persentase 60% dan miskonsepsi terendah terdapat pada butir soal 19 dengan persentase 22,96%.

This study aimed to determine misconceptions of the class xii mia students at sma negeri 3 tarakan on the nervous system lesson by using the certainty of response index (cri) method. this type of research was descriptive.the research sample was taken using a probability sampling technique that involvedall students of xii mia at sma negeri 3 tarakan. data were collected using a open multiple choice test with a cri column.the research results showed that the class xii mia students at sma negeri3 tarakan experienced misconceptions with an average of 37.32%. the highest misconception was on item 19 (60%) and the lowest misconception was on item 19 (22.96%).
