Abstrak Indonesia

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada efek yang signifikan dari penggunaan cooking academy game dalam meningkatkan nilai writing siswa dalam jenis teks procedure. populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas sepuluh di sman 1 tarakan. jumlah populasi adalah 215 siswa. penentuan sampel dengan cara purpossive sampling. ada dua group sebagai sampel dalam penelitian ini. mereka adalah control group dan experimental group. kelas x mia 2 adalah sebagai control group dan kelas x mia 1 adalah sebagai experimental group. jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 56 siswa. dimana masing masing kelas terdiri dari 28 siswa. tahap dalam penelitian ini adalah treatment dan test. treatment dalam hal ini adalah penerapan cooking academy game pada experimental group dan penerapan teknik belajar umum pada control group. kemudian masing-masing kelas diberikan pretest berupa tugas menulis teks procedure. research result menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan signifikan dari nilai siswa antara experimental dan control group setelah diberikan treatment. ini dibuktikan dari mean score dan significant level score. mean score dari experiment group lebih tinggi dari control group. dimana mean score dari experiment group adalah 88,21 dan mean score dari control group adalah 81,18. selisih nilai adalah 7,03 poin. hasil analisis data mengindikasikan bahwa ada perbedaan signifikan dari nilai menulis siswa antara experiment group and control group. ditemukan bahwa nilai significant level lebih rendah dari nilai alpha. dimana nilai signifikan adalah 0,00 dan nilai alpha adalah 0,05. sedangkan nilai t-test lebih tinggi dari nilai t-table. dimana nilai t-test adalah 7,225 dan nilai t-table adalah 1,673. selisih nilai adalah 5.552 poin. t-test telah dianalisis dengan berbantuan spss 16.0 for windows. sedangkan t-table dapat dilihat dalam tabel t distribusi. berdasarkan kesimpulan di atas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam penelitian ini media yang baik digunakan dalam mengajar menulis teks procedure adalah dengan menggunakan cooking academy game. ini berdasarkan kesimpulan pada bab v.

The study aimed at investigating the significant effect of the use of cooking academy game in improving the students’ scores of writing procedure text. the population of this study was tenth grade students of sman 1 tarakan. the total number of population was 240 students. the sample was taken by using purposive sampling technique. there were two groups of sample in this research. they are experiment and control group. class x mia 2 is as the control group and x mia 1 is as the experiment group. the sample of this study was consisted of 56 students. which each class was consisted of 28 students. the stages in this research were treatment and test. the researcher found that there were no any differences skills between experiment and control group. the treatment held in experiment group. the researcher taught writing procedure text to the experiment group by using cooking academy game. after the treatment, the test was given to the students. the research result of the study showed that there were significant differences of students’ mean scores between the experiment group and the control group after the treatment. it was proved by the mean score and the t-test score. the mean score of experiment group was higher than control group. where the mean score of experiment group was 88.21 and the mean score of control group was 81.18. the gain score was 7.03 points. the result of data analysis indicated that there was a significant difference on the students’ writing scores between the control group and the experimental group, it was found that the value of significant level was higher than the value of alpha. where the score of significant level is 0.00 and the score for alpha is 0.05. while the value of t-test was higher than the value of t-table. where the score of t-test is 7.225 and the score for t-table is 1.673. the gain of the score is 5.552 point. the t-test was analyzed by the spss 16.0. besides, the t-table could be seen from the t-table distribution. based on those results above, it can be concluded that in this study a good technique used in teaching writing procedure is teaching by using cooking academy game. it refers to the conclusion in chapter v.
