Abstrak Indonesia

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh implementasi model pembelajaran problem based instruction terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa kelas viii smp don bosco tarakan. penelitian ini dilakukan mulai bulan juli-agustus 2013 di smp don bosco tarakan. jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi eksperiment) dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas viii yaitu kelas viii-1, viii-2 dan kelas viii-3. sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 2 kelas yaitu kelas viii-1 dan viii-2. teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster purposif sampling dan teknik pengumpulan data mengunakan dokumentasi, observasi dan tes (isian singkat dan essai). data dianalisis menggunakan software spss 16.0 for windows. hasil analisis pengaruh implementasi model pembelajaran problem based instruction terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa diperoleh t hitung 1,173 < t tabel 1.672. dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi model pembelajaran problem based instruction (pbi) tidak terdapat pengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa kelas viii smp don bosco tarakan.

This research aim to determine the effect of the implementation of problem based instruction teaching model for understanding the concept of class viii smp don bosco tarakan. the research was conducted from july- august 2013 at the don bosco junior tarakan. the study was quasi-experimental study (quasi experiment) with the entire population of the eighth grade students of class viii-1 , viii-2 and viii -3. the samples are 2 classes of grade viii-1 and viii-2. cluster sampling technique using purposive sampling and data collection techniques using documentation , observation and tests (short answer and essay). data were analyzed using spss 16.0 software for windows. analysis of the effect of the implementation of the results of problem based instruction teaching model on students' understanding of concepts obtained thitung 1.173 < t table1.672. it can be concluded that the implementation model of problem based learning instruction (pbi) there is no influence on the understanding of the concept of class viii smp don bosco tarakan.
