
Pengaruh Penerapan Model Guided Inquiry Terhadap Keterampilan Proses Sains Siswa Kelas IX SMP Negeri 2 Tarakan

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model guided inqurry terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa. keterampilan proses sains yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi keterampilan mengobservasi, menginterpretasi data berhipotesis, merencanakan percobaan, menerapkan konsep dan mengkomunikasikan data. penelitian ini ditakukan pada bulan juli-agustus 2013 di smpn 2 tarakan. penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan populasi siswa kelas ix dan sampel sebanyak 2 kelas. pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster purposive sampling. teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi, tes uraian dan lembar observasi. data tes dan observasi dianalisis menggunakan sofiware spss 16.0 for windows. teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t. analisis data gain diperoleh hasil menunjukkan bahwa thitung (2,385) lebih besar dibandingkan ttabel (1,684). demikian pula hasil uji-t data observasi keterampilan proses sains siswa menunjukkan bahwa thitung (10,026) lebih besar dari ttabel (1,684). hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan model gaided inquiry terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas ix smpn 2 tarakan.

The purpose of this study is to know the effect of the guided inquiry model application on students process science skills. the process science skills used in this study include observing skills, skills to interpret observation, hypothesize skill, the planning of experiment skills, the skills to apply the concept, and communication skills.. this research was conducted in july-august 2013 at smp 2 tarakan. this is quasi-experimental research and the ix grade and the sample taken from 2 classes. the technique sampling is cluster purposive sampling. the sample used in the research was ix-3 as a class experiment using the guided inquiry model, and ix-4 as the control class using lecture learning. design used a pretest-posttest control group design. collection technique using the documentation, test description and observation of process science skills. test data and observations were analyzed using spss 16.0 for windows software. the test results were analyzed using t test. the gain data analysis of both utilizes tresults (2.385) is greater than ttable (1.684). similarly, the t-test results of observation data process science skills students showed that t (10.026) is greater than t table (1.684). therefore it indicates that there are significant effect of implementation guided inquiry model approach toward the process science skills in class ix students of smpn 2 tarakan.
