Tujuan penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk untuk untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis pelaksanaan program gerakan desa membangun (gerdema) di kabupaten malinau. untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pelaksanaan program gerakan desa membangun (gerdema) di kabupaten malinau berdasarkan hasil analisis dengan hasil analisis secara deskriptif bahwa intensitas keterlibatan beberapa pihak dalam menentukan keberhasilan pelaksanaan gerdem yaitu; dprd, bupati, bappeda, camat, lurah/kepala desa. tokoh adat, dan tokoh masyarakat. berdasarkan survey, keterlibatan bupati sangat tinggi di dalam menentukan keberhasilan pelaksanaan gerdema. sementara itu keterlibatan dprd, bappeda dan camat adalah tinggi. sedangkan keterlibatan lurah/kepala desa, tokoh adat, dan tokoh masyarakat adalah sedang, sedangkan secara kuantitatif output pengolahan spss 11.0 tampak bahwa koefisien determinasi atau r square sebesar 0,634. hal ini berarti bahwa 63,4% variabel tingkat kesejahteraan masyarakat dapat dijelaskan oleh variasi keempat variabel independent yaitu infrastruktur pendidikan (x1), infrastruktur kesehatan (x2), dan infrastruktur jalan (x3). sedangkan sisanya 36,6% tingkat kesejahteraan masyarakat dijelaskan oleh variabel lain. diluar keempat variabel independen diatas.
