Abstrak Indonesia

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif make a match berbantuan media teka-teki silang (crossword puzzle) terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas viii smp muhammadiyah 2 tarakan. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan saintifik dengan metode diskusi penelitian ini dilakukan semester genap pada tanggal 18 hingga 20 januari 2016 di smp muhammadiyah 2 tarakan. jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu (quasi-eksperiment) dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas viii smp muhammadiyah 2 tarakan, dan sampel yaitu kelas viii-b sebagai kelas eksperimen sebanyak 29 siswa dan kelas viii-c sebagai kelas kontrol sebanyak 32 siswa. teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi, tes, lembar angket dan lembar observasi. teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik uji prasyarat yaitu uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas, pengujian ini menggunakan bantuan software spss.22 for windows. teknik analisis data menggunakan uji manova. berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) nilai f = 8,199 dengan signifikansi 0,006 yang berarti p < 0,05 sehingga h0 ditolak, artinya terdapat pengaruh motivasi siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif make a match berbantuan media teka-teki silang (crossword puzzle) dengan siswa yang belajar menggunakan model konvensional dengan pendekatan saintifik, 2) nilai f = 5,506 dengan signifikansi 0,010 yang berarti p < 0,05 sehingga h0 ditolak, artinya terdapat pengaruh hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif make a match berbantuan media teka-teki silang (crossword puzzle) dengan siswa yang belajar menggunakan model konvensional dengan pendekatan saintifik, 3) nilai f = 4,200 dengan signifikansi 0,020 yang berarti p < 0,05 sehingga h0 ditolak, artinya terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif make a match berbantuan media teka-teki silang (crossword puzzle) terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa.

The objective of this research was to know the effect of cooperative learning model make a match helped by crossword media (crossword puzzle) on the motivation and the learning outcome of grade viii students of smp muhammadiyah 2 tarakan. this research used scientific approach with discussion method. this research was conducted at even semester on the 18th and 20th of january 2016 at smp muhammadiyah 2 tarakan. the type of this research was quasi experiment with the population that consisted of all grade viii students at smp muhammadiyah 2 tarakan, and the sample were class viii-b as experimental class as many as 29 students and class viii-c as control class as many as 32 students. the technique of sample taking used purposive sampling and the technique of data collection used documentation, test, questionnaire and observation sheet. the technique of data collection used prerequisite test technique namely normality test and homogenity test, this test used the help of software spss.22 for windows. the technique of data analysis used manova test. based on the result of data analysis, it can be concluded that: 1) value f = 7,860 with significancy 0,007 which meant p < 0,05 so h0 was rejected, which meant there was an effect of the students’ motivation that used cooperative learning model make a match helped by crossword media (crossword puzzle) with the students that studied by using convensional model with scientific approach, 2) value f = 8,199 with significancy 0,006 which meant p < 0,05 so h0 was rejected, which meant there was an effect of the students’ learning outcome that used cooperative learning model make a match helped by crossword media (crossword puzzle) with the students that studied by using convensional model with scientific approach, 3) value f = 9,507 with significancy 0,000 which meant p < 0,05 so h0 was rejected, which meant there was an effect of cooperative learning model make a match helped by crossword media (crossword puzzle) on the students’ motivation and learning outcome.
