Abstrak Indonesia

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan hasil analisis kekhawatiran berbicara pada mahasiswa di escymo pada semester satu di jurusan pendidikan bahasa inggris di universitas borneo tarakan pada tahun pembelajaran 2019/2020. penelitian ini menggunakan metode campuran antara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. penentuan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik total sampling. peneliti mengambil 70 mahasiswa untuk melaksanakan penelitian ini. data di kumpulkan dengan kuisioner, wawancara, dan pengamatan di kelas online escymo. peneliti menggunakan metode berbeda untuk mendapatkan beberapa data. untuk mendapatkan keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini, peneliti memberikan kuisioner dan menyajikan data dengan persentase. selanjutnya peneliti melakukan wawancara dan menuliskan hasil pengamatan. hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan, 1) hasil dari kuisioner, mahasiswa mempunyai kecenderungan kekhawatiran berbicara yang beragam. sebagian besar mahasiswa setuju mempunyai tanda kekhawatiran berbicara pada tanda fisik, emosional, dan perilaku, kemudian mahasiswa netral dalam tanda kognitif. 2) hasil dari wawancara menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa mempunyai tanda kekhawatiran berbicara yang beragam dan mereka mengurangi permasalahan tersebut dengan persiapan, menghafal, dan melakukan simulasi. 3) hasil dari pengamatan dari kelas online escymo menunjukkan bahwa kecenderungan tanda kekhawatiran berbicara pada mahasiswa terlihat saat melakukan praktek berbicara di kelas online escymo.

Abstrak Indonesia

The purpose of this study was to analyze speaking anxiety among the first semester 2019/2020 students at the escymo in the english education department at the university of borneo tarakan. this research used qualitative and quantitative methods. using a total sampling techniques, 70 students was determined as the sample of this research. data were collected by means of questionnaires, interviews, and observations in the escymo online class. the questionnaire results were presented in a percentage and the interview and observation results were recorded and documented. the results of this study showed that, first, the students had various tendencies to speak anxiety. most students agreed to have signs of speaking anxiety on physical signs, thinking, behavior, and emotional signs depending on the preparation of students before speaking. second, the results of the interviews showed that students had various signs of speaking worries and they reduced these problems by preparing, memorizing, and doing simulations. third, the results of the observations from the escymo online class showed that the tendency of speaking anxiety signs was seen when students practiced speaking in the class such as taking notes, being nervous, holding an object, and smiling when making a grammar mistake.
