Daerah irigasi wonomulyo merupakan salah satu daerah irigasi di kabupaten bulungan yang memiliki potensi pengembangan sistem irigasi. sebagian besar masyarakat di desa wonomulyo bermata pencaharian sebagai petani. daerah irigasi wonomulyo dengan luas areal 63,2 ha memiliki beberapa permasalahan yaitu sistem pengaliran air yang kurang maksimal dan pola tata tanam yang tidak tertata dengan baik. dari hasil analisis ketersediaan dan kebutuhan air, diketahui bahwa ketersediaan air pada dua das di daerah irigasi wonomulyo pada waktu tertentu tidak dapat memenuhi kebutuhan air keseluruhan areal layanan seluas 63,2 ha sehingga dilakukan pemberian air dengan sistem golongan, dengan membagi mengelompokkan petak tersier dalam 3 golongan, dan menjadwalkan pemberian air, berdasarkan presentase kebutuhan air yang dapat terpenuhi. dari hasil penataan, petak tersier pada daerah irigasi dibagi berdasarkan kondisi eksisting yang ada yaitu wonomulyo dan jumlah kebutuhan air maka diperoleh lima jumlah bangunan irigasi pada daerah irigasi wonomulyo yang terdiri dari dua bangunan bendung (b.wn.1 dan b.wn.2), dua bangunan talang (bt1, bt2), empat bangunan bagi sadap (bw1, bw2, bw3, bw4), dan satu bangunan box tersier (bt.wn).

Wonomulyo irrigation area is one of the irrigation area in bulungan which has the potential development of irrigation systems. most people in the village wonomulyo subsistence farmers. wonomulyo irrigation area with a total area of 63.2 has some problems that the water drainage system is less than the maximum, and cropping pattern layout is not well ordered. from the analysis of water availability in these studies, it is known the availability of water in inflow 1 obtained debit mainstay of the greatest in february is 0.098 m/s and discharge the smallest occurred in may is 0,009 m3 / sec, the availability of water inflow 2 obtained debit mainstay greatest february is 0.120 m3/s, while the analysis of the water needs of the largest in february ie 1,299 liters/sec / ha and the water needs of the smallest occurred in may is 0120 liters/sec / ha, to balance the water balance of both analyzes it is known that the availability of water in the two watersheds in irrigated areas wonomulyo can not meet the water needs of the entire service area of 63.2 ha area so it created a system of irrigation network technical rotation. from the arrangement of buildings in irrigation area wonomulyo and the amount of water needs of the obtained five number irrigation on irrigated area wonomulyo consisting of two buildings weir and discharge the smallest occurred in may is 0,011 m3 /s (b.wn.1 and b.wn.2), two buildings gutter (bt1, bt2), four buildings for tapping (bw1 , bw2, bw3, bw4), and one box building tertiary (bt.wn).
