Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui masalah yang di hadapi guru dalam menerapkan evaluasi proses pada saat kegiatan belajar mengajar kelas sebelas di ma alkhairaat tarakan. penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif. penelitian deskriptif adalah penelitian yang mendeskripskan dan menafsirkan hasil penelitian dengan cara yang sesuai dengan kondisi objek penelitian. data di dapatkan melalui proses wawancara, analisis dokumen, dan observasi. berdasarkan tujuan penelitian, subjek penelitian adalah guru kelas sebelas di ma alkhairaat tarakan. guru menjadi sumber informasi utama dalam pengambilan data. kemudian data tersebut di konfirmasi melalui analisis dokumen dan kegiatan observasi. peneliti menemukan beberapa masalah yang dihadapi guru dalam melakukan evaluasi proses. pemahaman guru dalam evaluasi proses sangat kurang. beberapa diantaranya seperti macam-macam evaluasi, teknik evaluasi, format evaluasi, dan membuat instrumen dari evaluasi. guru tidak melaksanakan evaluasi proses berdasarkan peraturan kementrian pendidikan dan kebudayaan nomer 66 tahun 2013. hasil dari penelitian ini dapat mengetahui permasalahan yang di alami guru dalam proses evaluasi. melalui penelitian ini guru dapat memperbaiki proses evaluasi dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. guru dapat menambah referensi dan literature dari komponen-komponen evaluasi. sehingga seluruh aspek dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar dapat berjalan dengan baik.

The objective of this research was to find out the problems faced by teachers in conducting the evaluation process in teaching and learning process in the eleventh grade of ma alkhairaat tarakan. the research design in this research was descriptive design. descriptive research is a research that describes and interprets the research result with the way is accord with the object condition of this research. the data gained from interview, document analysis, and observation. based on purpose of the research, subject of this research was the english teacher at the eleventh grade of ma alkhairaat tarakan. the teacher as the main information in collecting the data. then the data was confirmed through analysis of documents and observation activities. the researcher found some problems faced by the teacher in conducting the evaluation process. understanding of teacher in the evaluation process was very less. some of evaluation components such as the types of evaluation, techniques of evaluation, form of evaluation, and making the instruments of evaluation. teacher does not carry out an evaluation process based on minister of national education and culture regulation number 66 year 2013. the results of this research could find out the teacher problems in the evaluation process. through this research, the teacher could improve the understanding on evaluation process in learning activities. teacher could add the references and literature of the components of the evaluation. so, all aspects of teaching and learning activities can be run well.
