
Korelasi Tingkat Pengetahuan Ibu Tentang Konsumsi Protein Hewani Dengan Kejadian Stunting Usia 24–59 Bulan Di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Pantai Amal

Stunting adalah salah satu masalah kesehatan yang dapat menghambat masa depan bangsa dan negara. stunting berdampak bukan hanya pada gangguan pertumbuhan fisik saja, namun juga mengakibatkan gangguan perkembangan pada anak. stunting disebabkan karena konsumsi asupan gizi dan nutrisi yang kurang, salah satunya yaitu asupan protein yaitu protein hewani dimana protein hawani ini berperan untuk mencegah stunting pada anak balita. anak balita yang mengkonsumsi protein hewani yang cukup dapat terhindar dari kejadian stunting. penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan tiangkat pengetahuan ibu tentang konsumsi protein hewani dengan kejadian stunting usia 24 – 59 bulan di wilayah kerja puskesmas pantai amal. metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah korelasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. sampel berjumlah 38 responden yaitu ibu dengan balita stunting yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. analisis data menggunakan uji statistik chi-square. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa reponden berpengetahuan baik berjumlah 9 responden, kategori stunting (pendek) 8 responden dan 1 responden dalam kategori (sangat pendek), berpengetahuan cukup berjumlah 16 responden, kategori stunting (pendek) yaitu 6 responden dan dengan kategori stunting (sangat pendek) 10 responden sedangkan yang memiliki pengetahuan kurang berjumlah 13 responden, kategori stunting (pendek) 9 responden dan kategori stunting (pendek) 4 respondon. hasil uji statistik diperoleh nilai p = 0.030, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan tentang konsumsi protein hewani dengan kejadian stunting. meski ibu memahami pentingnya protein hewani, hasil kuesioner menunjukkan masih kurangnya pemahaman tentang pola konsumsi protein hewani. tenaga kesehatan diharapkan rutin memberikan edukasi mengenai cara pengolahan, waktu, dan frekuensi pemberian pada balita dan ibu diharapkan aktif mencari informasi serta menerapkannya dalam menu anak untuk mendukung tumbuh kembang yang optimal. kata kunci : pengetahuan, protein hewani, stunting

Stunting is one of the health problems that can obstruct the future of the nation and state. stunting has an impact not only on physical growth disorders, but also results in developmental disorders in children. stunting is caused by the consumption of nutritional intake and nutrients that are lacking, one of which is protein intake, namely animal protein where this animal protein plays a role in preventing stunting in children under five. children under five who consume sufficient animal protein can avoid the incidence of stunting. the purpose of the research is to analyze the correlation between mothers' level of knowledge about animal protein consumption and the incidence of stunting among children aged 24 to 59 months in the working area of pantai amal public health center. the research method used is correlation with a cross-sectional approach. the sample comprised 38 respondents, namely mothers with stunted toddlers who were selected by purposive sampling data analysis used chi-square statistical test. the results of the research showed that there were 9 respondents had good knowledge, 8 respondents were in the stunting category (short) and 1 respondent was in the category very short, 16 respondents were with sufficient knowledge, 6 respondents were in the category short and 10 respondents were in the stunting category (very short) while 13 respondents had less knowledge, 9 respondents in the stunting category (short) and 4 respondents were in the stunting category (short). the statistical test results obtained a p value 0.030. it can be concluded that there is the correlation between the level of knowledge about animal protein consumption and the incidence of stunting. despite their comprehension of the significance of animal protein, the survey outcomes indicate a deficiency in their awareness of optimal consumption patterns. health professionals are expected to provide education on processing methods, time, and frequency of administration to toddlers. furthermore, mothers are expected to proactively seek information and apply it to the child's menu to support optimal growth and development. keywords: knowledge, animal protein, stunting
