Pemahaman mengenai menstruasi merupakan aspek penting dalam pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi, terutama bagi siswi sekolah dasar yang mulai memasuki masa pubertas. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemahaman siswi mengenai menstruasi siswi kelas vi di sdn 031 simpang amal. menggunakan metode pengumpulan data observasi dan kuensioner dengan pendekatan fenomenalogi. dalam penelitian ini, pengambilan sampel dilakukan menggunakan teknik proposive sampling. sampel dipilih berdasarkan 3 kriteria yaitu: sudah menstruasi, umur dan hasil jawaban lembar observasi awal siswi (jawaban benar terendah) dari catatan tersebut di peroleh 2 orang siswi kelas vi a dan 2 orang siswi kelas vi b dengan tujuan untuk siswi yang terpilih sebagai responden, diharapkan dapat menggambarkan variasi pemahaman dan persepsi mengenai pemahaman menstruasi di kalangan siswi. jumlah responden sebanyak 4 orang. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subjek 4 orang siswi berinisial f mendapat nilai 88, berinisial a mendapat nilai 80, z mendapat nilai 92 dan siswi berinisial r mendapat nilai 96. presentase pengetahuan menstruasi baik dengan hasil yaitu 89% diperoleh dari 25 pernyataan terdiri dari pengetahuan menstruasi indikator pengetahuan menstruasi 10 pernyataan (subjek f salah pada pernyataan no.7, subjek z pada no. 7, subjek r no. 7). fase folikuler ada 5 pernyataan (subjek f salah pada pernyataan no.12 dan no 15. subjek a pada pernyataan no. 13 dan 14. subjek z salah pada no. 15). fase ovulasi 5 pernyataan (tidak ada jawaban salah). fase luteal 5 pernyataan. subjek a salah pada no. 21,22 dan 23). kesimpulan siswi sudah memahami pengetahuan menstruasi. namun masih terdapat kekurangan pada pengetahuan menstruasi. penelitian ini menyarankan perlunya peningkatan pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi di sekolah dasar melalui pendekatan yang sesuai usia dan budaya lokal. kata kunci : pemahaman menstruasi, kelas vi sd.

Understanding menstruation is a crucial aspect of reproductive health education, particularly for elementary school female students who are beginning to enter puberty. this study aims to ascertain the comprehension of menstruation among sixth-grade female students at sdn 031 simpang amal. it employs observation and questionnaire methods for data collection, utilizing a phenomenological approach. sample selection in this study was conducted using a purposive sampling technique. samples were chosen based on three criteria: having already experienced menstruation, age, and initial observation sheet responses (lowest correct answers) from the student's records. from these criteria, two female students from class vi a and two female students from class vi b were selected as respondents, with the aim that the chosen respondents could illustrate variations in understanding and perceptions of menstruation among female students. the total number of respondents was 4. the results indicate that the four female student subjects, identified by initials f, a, z, and r, received 88, 80, 92, and 96 scores, respectively. the overall percentage of good knowledge regarding menstruation was 89%, derived from 25 statements covering menstruation knowledge indicators (subject f erred on statement no. 7; subject z on no. 7; subject r on no. 7). for the follicular phase, there were 5 statements (subject f erred on statements no. 12 and no. 15; subject a on no. 13 and no. 14; subject z erred on no. 15). for the ovulation phase, there were 5 statements (no incorrect answers). for the luteal phase, there were 5 statements (subject a erred on no. 21, 22, and 23). finally, the female students generally understood menstruation knowledge. however, there are still some deficiencies in specific areas of menstruation knowledge. this study suggests the need for increased reproductive health education in elementary schools through age-appropriate and culturally sensitive approaches. keywords: menstruation understanding, sixth grade elementary school.
