
Pengaruh Pendekatan Open Ended Terhadap Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik SMP Negeri 8 Tarakan Kelas VIII

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan open-ended terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas viii smp negeri 8 tarakan pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel (spldv). penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif pre-experiment dengan desain one-group pretest-posttest. subjek penelitian adalah 26 orang peserta didik kelas viii-1 smp negeri 8 tarakan yang ditentukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling. data hasil belajar peserta didik diperoleh melalui tes hasil belajar berbentuk soal uraian sebanyak empat buah soal yang diberikan sebelum (pretest) dan setelah (posttest). data hasil belajar peserta didik dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial dengan uji paired sample t-test. hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata skor hasil belajar peserta didik dari 59,1 pada pretest menjadi 89,1 pada posttest. hasil uji paired sample t-test menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan secara statistik antara skor pretest dan posttest (t = -15,778; df 25; p < 0,05). dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan open ended berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik smp negeri 8 tarakan kelas viii. kata kunci: open-ended, hasil belajar, matematika, sistem persamaan linear dua variabel.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of the open-ended method on the learning outcomes of eighth-grade students at smp negeri 8 tarakan in the subject of two-variable linear equation systems (spldv). this study used a quantitative pre-experiment approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. the research subjects were 26 eighth-grade students from smp negeri 8 tarakan, selected through cluster random sampling. student learning outcomes data were collected using learning outcome exams consisting of four essay questions, administered before (pre-test) and after (post-test) the course. the data on student learning outcomes were evaluated using descriptive and inferential statistics, as well as the paired sample t-test. the descriptive analysis results determine that students' average learning scores increased from 59.1 on the pretest to 89.1 on the post-test. the paired sample t-test found a significant difference in pretest and post-test scores (t = -15,778; df 25; p < 0,05). as a result, it could be stated that the open-ended approach influences the learning outcomes of eighth-grade students at smp negeri 8 tarakan. keywords: open-ended, learning outcomes, mathematics, two-variable linear equation system
