
KEBIASAAN MAKAN IKAN MANYUNG (Arius Sp) DI PERAIRAN TARAKAN

Kota tarakan merupakan wilayah perairan yang memiliki sumberdaya potensi perikanan tangkap yang berlimpah salah satunya mengenai ikan manyung (arius sp). ikan manyung merupakan jenis ikan demersal. masih minimnya penelitian mengenai kebiasaan ikan manyung menyebabkan minimnya pengetahuan dan informasi mengenai pengelolaan sumberdaya perikanan secara lestari dan berkelanjutan di perairan kota tarakan. tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui jenis makanan dan kebiasaan makan dari ikan manyung di perairan tarakan. metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode survei langsung di lapangan dengan penentuan sampel bersifat purposive sampling dimana dilakukan selama 5 kali pengambilan sampel dengan tiga tempat lokasi penelitian yang berbeda, dengan tiap lokasi dilakukan pengambilan sampel sebanyak 10 ekor. pengambilan data di lakukan di laboratorium perikanan fpik ubt dengan mengambil data berupa panjang total, berat total, berat lambung ikan, isi lambung ikan berupa jenis makanan dari ikan manyung. analisis data dilakukan menggunakan metode frekuensi kejadian, metode volumetrik, metode jumlah jenis makanan, menggunakan presentase ikan lambung berisi (pilb), index of stomach content (isc), dan indeks of preponderance (ip).hasil penelitian mengenai ikan manyung (arius sp) menjelaskan bahwa ikan manyung merupakan jenis ikan karnivora. makanan utama ikan manyung berupa udang, dan makanan pelengkap ikan manyung berupa kepiting, ikan dan unident (un). tidak ditemukan makanan tambahan dari ikan manyung. kata kunci : pilb,isc,ip, kebiasaan makan

Tarakan city is a water area that has abundant potential fisheries resources, one of them is manyung fish (arius sp). manyung fish is a type of demersal fish. there is still a lack of research on the habits of manyung fish causing a lack of knowledge and information about the sustainable and continuous management of fishery resources in the waters of tarakan city. the purpose of the research is to find out the types of food and eating habits of manyung fish in tarakan waters. the research method used a quantitative descriptive method and the sampling was done using a direct survey method in the field with random sampling which was carried out for 5 sampling times with three different research locations, with 10 samples being taken at each location. data collection was carried out at the fpik ubt fisheries laboratory by taking data in the form of total length, total weight, fish stomach weight, fish stomach contents weight in the form of food from manyung fish. data analysis was carried out using the incidence frequency method, volumetric method, number of food type method, using the percentage of stomach fish contained (pilb), index of stomach content (isc), and proponderance index (ip). the results of research on manyung fish (arius sp) explain that manyung fish is a type of carnivorous fish. the main food of manyung fish is shrimp and complementary foods of manyung fish in the form of crab, fish and unident (un). no additional food from manyung fish was found. keywords: pilb,isc,ip, eating habits
