Abstrak Indonesia

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengelolaan iklim mikro dengan pemberian mulsa organik limbah kelapa sawit terhadap pertumbuhan bibit kelapa sawit. penelitian berlokasi di pt pipit citra perdana salah satu perusahaan kelapa sawit estate menjelutung, kecamatan sesayap hilir, kabupaten tana tidung, kalimantan utara. penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (rak), dengan satu (1) faktor perlakuan dan enam (6) ulangan. perlakuan dalam penelitian ini adalah : m0 = kontrol, m1 = tandan kosong, m2 = cangkang kelapa sawit, m3 = daun kelapa sawit. data hasil yang diperoleh di analisis menggunakan sidik ragam (anova), jika berpengaruh nyata maka diuji lanjut dengan menggunakan beda nyata terkecil (bnt) pada taraf 5%. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan mulsa organik berbahan limbah kelapa sawit mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan bibit kelapa sawit. perlakuan yang memberikan hasil terbaik adalah perlakuan mulsa tandan kosong dengan parameter tinggi tanaman 49,45 cm, panjang daun 40,63 cm, diameter batang 30,22 mm, warna daun kehijauan, suhu tanah 25,43 °c dan kelembaban tanah yang lembab. kata kunci : iklim mikro, bibit kelapa sawit, mulsa tandan kosong, mulsa cangkang kelapa sawit, mulsa daun kelapa sawit.

Abstrak Indonesia

This study aimed to determine the effect of microclimate management by providing organic mulch derived from palm oil waste on the growth of palm oil seedlings. the study was conducted at pt pipit citra perdana, an oil palm plantation located in estate menjelutung. sesayap hilir district, tana tidung regency, north kalimantan province. a randomized block design (rbd) was employed, consisting of one treatment factor with six replications. the treatments included mo (control), m1 (empty fruit bunch mulch), m2 (palm shell mulch), and m3 (palm leaf mulch). data were analyzed using anova, and if significant effects were observed, further analysis was conducted using the least significant difference (lsd) test at a 5% significance level. the findings indicated that the use of organic mulch from palm oil waste effectively enhanced oil palm seedling growth. among the treatments, the application of empty fruit bunch mulch yielded the best results, with seedlings exhibiting an average plant height of 49.45 cm, leaf length of 40.63 cm, stem diameter of 30.22 mm, a greenish leaf color, a soil temperature of 25.43°c, and optimal soil moisture. keywords: microclimate, oil palm seedlings, empty fruit bunch mulch, palm shell mulch, palm leaf mulch
