Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan membandingkan metode altman z-score, springate, dan grover dalam memprediksi kebangkrutan pada perusahaan sub sektor tembakau yang terdaftar di bursa efek indonesia tahun 2019-2023. penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis deskriptif dan komparatif. populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh perusahaan sektor consumer non cyclicals. sedangkan untuk sampel, adalah perusahaan sub sektor tembakau yang ditentukan dengan teknik non probability sampling dan pendekatan purposive sampling. jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder. hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil antara metode altman z-score, springate, dan grover dalam memprediksi kebangkrutan pada perusahaan sub sektor tembakau. metode grover merupakan metode yang memiliki tingkat akurasi tertinggi senilai 100% dan tingkat eror 0%. sedangkan pada metode altman z-score dan springate memiliki tingkat akurasi eror yang sama, yaitu 75%, dengan tingkat eror untuk metode altman z-score adalah 20% dan tingkat eror untuk metode springate adalah 25%. pada metode grover dan springate tidak mengklasfikasikan perusahaan dalam kategori grey area (perusahaan tidak dapat ditentukan apakah sehat atau bankrut). namun, pada metode altman z-score, mengklasifikasikan perusaahaan dalam posisi grey area. adapun tingkat grey area pada metode altman z-score adalah 5%. kata kunci: altman z-score, springate, grover, kebangkrutan, sub sektor tembakau

The study aimed to analyze and compare the methods of altman z-score, springate, and grover in predicting the bankruptcy of tobacco sub-sector companies listed on the indonesia stock exchange in 2019-2023. this study is quantitative research with descriptive and comparative analysis techniques. the population in this study is all sector companies consumer non cyclicals. meanwhile, the sample is a tobacco sub-sector company determined using non probability sampling techniques and a purposive sampling approach. the type of data used in this study is secondary data. the study results showed that there are differences in results between altman z-score, springate, and grover methods in predicting bankruptcy in tobacco sub-sector companies listed on the indonesia stock exchange in 2019-2023. the grover method is a method that has the highest level of accuracy is 100% and an error rate of 0%. meanwhile, the altman z-score and springate method has the same level of accuracy at 75% with the error rate for the altman z-score method is 20% and the error rate for the springate method is 25%. the grover and springate method does not classify companies in grey area categories (the company cannot be determined whether it is healthy or bankrupt). however, the altman z-score method classifies companies into grey area positions. while the grey area level in the altman z-score method is 5%. keywords: altman z-score, springate, grover, bankruptcy, tobacco sub sector
