Sumber air tambak tradisional mengandalkan pasang surut air laut sedangkan wilayah pesisir kota tarakan terdapat berbagai aktivitas manusia seperti permukiman, pusat komersial, pelabuhan, industri, transportasi dan tempat penjualan bahan bakar minyak (bbm). aktivitas tersebut berpotensi menghasilkan limbah logam berat yang dapat mencemari laut dan tambak tradisonal. tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis kandungan logam pb, cd, cu pada air, sedimen dan udang windu (penaeus monodon) di tambak tradisional kota tarakan. penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama tiga bulan dari bulan desember 2023-februari 2024 di kecamatan tarakan barat dan kecamatan tarakan timur kota tarakan. penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. analisis data yang digunakan yaitu membandingkan standar baku mutu berdasarkan permen kp. no. 75 tahun 2016, pp no. 22 tahun 2021, anzecc tahun 2000 dan sni 7387-2009. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kandungan logam berat pada 3 titik sampling di tambak tarakan barat untuk logam pb, cd, dan cu di air yaitu < 0,004-0,002 mg/l, < 0,001 mg/l, dan < 0,005-0,004 mg/l; di sedimen yaitu 2,66-5,08 mg/kg, 0,02-0,04 mg/kg, dan 2,56-3,25 mg/kg; di udang windu yaitu 0,07-0,17 mg/kg, 0,01 mg/kg dan 0,02 mg/kg. sementara rata-rata kandungan logam pb, cd, cu di tambak tarakan timur pada 3 titik sampling di air yaitu 0,002-0,004 mg/l, 0,002-0,007 mg/l, dan < 0,002-0,006 mg/l; di sedimen yaitu 2,28-2,54 mg/kg, 0,046-0,04 mg/kg, dan 2,13-3 mg/kg; dan di udang windu yaitu 0,17-0,19 mg/kg, 0,01 mg/kg dan 0,02 mg/kg. secara keseluruhan kandungan logam berat pb, cd, dan cu di air, sedimen dan udang windu masih sesuai standar baku mutu. kata kunci: kualitas air, sedimen, baku mutu

Traditional aquaculture ponds in tarakan city rcly on tidal scawatcr as thcir primary water source. thc coastal areas of tarakan city arc subjcct to various human activities, including residential settlements, cominercial ccntcrs, ports, industries, transportation, and fucl sales stations. thesc activities have the potential to generate heavy inctal wastc that could contaminate both the sea and traditional aquaculture ponds. this study aims to analyze thc levels of heavy metals pb, cd, and cu in thc vvater, sediment, and tigcr shrimp (penaeus monodon) in traditional ponds in tarakan city. the research was conducted over three months, from december 2023 to february 2024, in the west tarakan and east tarakan districts. a quantitative descriptive method was employed, with samples collected using purposive sampling techniques. data analysis involved comparing the measured concentrations against quality standards based on ministry of marine affairs and fisheries regulation no. 75 of 2016, government regulation no. 22 of 2021, anzecc 2000, and sni 7387-2009. the results showed that the average heavy metal concentrations at three sampling points in west tarakan ponds for pb, cd, and cu in water were < 0.004-0.002 mg/l, < 0.001 mg/l, and < 0.005-0.004 mg/l, respectively; in sediment, 2.66-5.08 mg/kg, 0.02-0.04 mg/kg, and 2.56-3.25 mg/kg, respectively; and in tiger shrimp, 0.07-0.17 mg/kg, 0.01 mg/kg, and 0.02 mg/kg, respectively. meanwhile, the average concentrations of pb, cd, and cu in east tarakan ponds at three sampling points in water were 0.002-0.004 mg/l, 0.0020.007 mg/l, and < 0.002-0.006 mg/l, respectively; in sediment, 2.28-2.54 mg/kg, 0.046-0.04 mg/kg, and 2.13-3 mg/kg, respectively; and in tiger shrimp, 0.17-0.19 mg/kg, 0.01 mg/kg, and 0.02 mg/kg, respectively. overall, the levels ofpb, cd, and cu in water, sediment, and tiger shrimp were found to be within the acceptable quality standards. keywords: water quality, sediment, quality standards
