
The Effectiveness Of Think Talk Write (TTW) Strategy In Teaching Writing On Narrative Text At Eleventh Grade Students Of SMA Muhammadiyah Tarakan In Academic Year 2017/2018

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penggunaan strategi think talk write (ttw) dalam pengajaran menulis teks narasi pada siswa kelas sebelas di sma muhammadiyah tarakan. penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi experimental. sampel diambil menggunakan purposive sampling technique. ada dua kelompok yang diambil sebagai sampel dalam penelitian ini. kelompok eksperimen diajarkan menggunakan strategy think talk write (ttw) dan kelas kontrol diajarkan menggunakan strategi think pair share (tps). intrumen penelitian ini adalah tes tertulis. data yang dianalisis adalah data nilai hasil pre-test dan post-test dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. dalam menganalisis data peneliti menggunakan independent sample ttest menggunakan spss 22.0. hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kelompok eksperimen adalah 65,49 dan nilai rata-rata kelompok kontrol adalah 60,06. nilai ttable adalah 1,995 dan nilai ttest adalah 2,669. hal ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai ttest lebih tinggi daripada nilai ttable (2,669 > 1,995). tidak hanya hasil dari independent sample ttest tapi nilai probabilitas juga lebih rendah daripada tingkat signifikansi (0,010 < 0,05). dengan kata lain, hipotesis nol (h0) di tolak dan hipotesis alternatif (ha) diterima. hasil analisis data membuktikan bahwa hasil pengajaran menggunakan strategi think talk write (ttw) lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan strategi think pair share (tps). berdasarkan hasil diatas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi think talk write (ttw) dalam pengajaran menulis teks narasi pada siswa kelas sebelas di sma muhammadiyah tarakan lebih effectif daripada menggunakan strategi think pair share (tps).

The objective of this research was to find out the effect of using think talk write (ttw) strategy in teaching writing on narrative text at eleventh grade students of sma muhammadiyah tarakan. this research used quasi experimental design. the samples were taken by using purposive sampling technique. there were two group as the samples of this research. the experimental group was taught by using think talk write (ttw) strategy and control group was taught by using think pair share (tps) strategy. the instrument of this research was written test. the analyzing data was from pre-test and post-test of experimental class and control class. in analyzing the data, the researcher used independent sample ttest with spss 22.0. the result of this research showes that the mean score of experimental group was 65,49 and the mean score of control group was 60,06. ttable value was 1,995 and ttest was 2,669. it indicates that the value of ttest was higher than t table (2,669 >1,995). not only the result of independent sample ttest but also the probability value was less than level of significance (0,010 < 0,05), in other words, the null hypothesis (h0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (ha) is accepted. based on the explanation above, it can be concludes that the use of think talk write (ttw) strategy in teaching writing on narrative text at eleventh grade students of sma muhammadiyah tarakan more effective than think pair share (tps) strategy
