Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh gaji dan masa kerja terhadap kinerja pada guru sekolah menengah atas (sma) swasta di kota tarakan. metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik purposive sampling. sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 90 responden. metode analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. tahap pertama menguji validitas, realibilitas pernyataan dari setiap variable dan menguji normalitas data. tahap kedua menguji hipotesis secara parsial (uji t). hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (h1) gaji tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja dan (h2) masa kerja tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of salary and work period on performance in private high school teachers (sma) in the city of tarakan. sampling method used in this research is purposive sampling technique. the sample in this research is 90 respondents. methods of data analysis using multiple linear regression analysis. the first stage examines the validity, reliability of the statements of each variable and tests the normality of the data. the second stage tested the hypothesis partially (t test). the results showed that (h1) salary does not affect the performance and (h2) work period has no effect on performance.
