
Pengaruh Teknik Rational Emotive Behavior Theraphy (REBT) Terhadap Perilaku Self-Harm Pada Peserta Didik Di SMP Negeri 14 Tarakan

Self-harm merupakan setiap perilaku sengaja yang bukan termasuk bunuh diri yang menyebabkan luka pada tubuh dengan tujuan melepaskan penderitaan emosional. perilaku self-harm juga ditemukan di smp negeri 14 tarakan, terdapat kurang lebih 24 kasus self-harm jenis self-cutting di sekolah tersebut. self-cutting termasuk bentuk dari cara melukai diri sendiri dengan mengoreskan atau menyayat benda tajam pada salah satu bagian tubuh. upaya yang dapat dilakukan dalam menurunkan perilaku self-harm adalah menerapkan layanan konseling kelompok dengan teknik rational emotive behavior therapy (rebt). teknik rational emotive behavior therapy (rebt) membantu seseorang menyadari bahwa mereka dapat hidup lebih rasional dan produktif, mengubah kebiasaan berpikir serta perilaku yang merusak diri sendiri. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh teknik rational emotive behavior therapy (rebt) terhadap perilaku self-harm pada peserta didik di smp negeri 14 tarakan. jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan pre-experiment one-group pretest-postest design. jenis pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, dengan populasi sebanyak 160 peserta didik dan sampel berjumlah 5 peserta didik kelas vii. teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen berupa skala likert tentang perilaku self-harm. analisis data dengan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan uji paired sample t-test. berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, perhitungan uji paired sample t-test dengan nilai sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, maka ho ditolak dan ha diterima. sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh konseling kelompok dengan teknik rational emotive behavior therapy (rebt) terhadap perilaku self-harm peserta didik kelas vii di smp negeri 14 tarakan tahun pelajaran 2023/2024. kata kunci: konseling kelompok, rational emotive behavior theraphy (rebt), self-harm

Self-harm is any intentional behavior, not including suicide, that causes injury to the body with the aim of releasing emotional suffering. self-harm behavior was also found in smp negeri 14 tarakan, there were approximately 24 cases of self-cutting self-harm ini the school. self-cutting is a from of self-injury by scratching or cutting with a sharp object on a part of the body. efforts that can be made in reducing self-harm behavior are implementing group counseling services using rational emotive behavior theraphy (rebt) techniques. the rational emotive behavior theraphy (rebt) techniques helps a person realize that they can live more rationally and productively by changing habits of thinking and self-destructive behaviors. the purpose of the research was to determine the effect of rational emotive behavior theraphy (rebt) techniques on self-harm behavior in students at smp negeri 14 tarakan. the type of research is quantitative with a pre-experiment one-group pretest-posttest design approach. the type of sampling used was purposive sampling techniques, with a population of 160 students and a sampe of 5 students in class vii. the data collection techniques in this research used an instrument in the form of a likert scale about self-harm behavior. data analysis with descriptive and inferential statistics using paired sampe t-test. the result of the research showed that the calculation of the paired sample t-test with a sig value (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, the ho is rejected and ha is accepted. it concluded that there was an effect of group counselling with rational emotive behavior theraphy (rebt) techniques on the self-harm behavior of seventh grade students at smp negeri 14 tarakan in the 2023/2024 academic year. keywords: group counseling, rational emotive behavior theraphy (rebt), self-harm
