Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan persepsi masyarakat terhadap keberadaan rumah sarang burung walet di kecamatan sesayap, kabupaten tana tidung. penelitian ini difokuskan pada persepsi masyarakat terhadap rumah burung walet yang berada disekitar perumahan warga pada tahun 2017. alat analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala likert untuk menghitung persepsi masyarakat tentang manfaat, kenyamanan, serta polusi warga yang tinggal disekitar rumah burung walet di kabupaten tana tidung. berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dari tabel 4.10 dapat dilihat bahwa persepsi masyarakat mengenai keberadaan rumah sarang burung walet di kabupaten tana tidung sebesar 32.6% yang artinya keberadaan sarang burung walet kurang bermanfaat bagi masyarakat disekitar, sedangkan pada tabel 4.11 dapat dilihat bahwa persepsi masyarakat mengenai kenyamanan atas kebersihan dengan adanya keberadaan rumah sarang burung walet sebesar 31,1% yang artinya kurang nyaman atas kebersihan rumah burung walet karena kotoran yang dibuang oleh burung walet dapat menyebabkan virus yang terjadi pada masyarakat sekitar dan pada tabel 4.12 dapat dilihat bahwa persepsi masyarakat polusi suara pemanggil burung walet di kabupaten tana tidung adalah 82,8% yang artinya masyarakat sangat terganggu atas suara pemanggil burung walet tersebut. jadi persepsi masyarakat terhadap rumah sarang burung walet menggunakan perhitungan skala likert diperoleh hasil bahwa masyarakat merasa kurang bermanfaat, kurang nyaman atas kebersihan lingkungan yang berada di sekitar rumah sarang burung walet serta masyarakat sangat terganggu atas suara yang ditimbulkan oleh alat pemanggil burung walet di kabupaten tana tidung.

This study aims to determine the society perception of the existence of swallow nest house in sesayap sub-district, tana tidung regency. the focus of this study was to examine the society perception of swallow bird house which is located around the housing of citizens in 2017. the analytical tool used in this research is likert scale to calculate people's perception about the benefit, comfort, and pollution of the residents living around swallow house in tana tidung regency. based on the calculation from table 4.10 it can be seen that the public perception about the existence of swallow nest house in tana tidung regency is 32.6% which means that the existence of bird's nest is less useful for the surrounding community, while in table 4.11 it can be seen that the society perception about the comfort of cleanliness the existence of swallow nest house of 31.1% which means less comfortable for the cleanliness of swallow birdhouse because the waste discharged by the swallow can cause the virus that occurs in the surrounding community and in table 4.12 can be seen that the perception of the public pollution voice calling bird swallow in tana tidung regency is 82.8%, which means that people are very disturbed by the sound of the swallow bird caller. so the society perception of swallow nest house using likert scale calculation obtained the result that the community feel less useful, less comfortable for the cleanliness of the environment around the swallow nest house and the community is very disturbed over the sound caused by the bird caller swallow in tana tidung regency
