Pengaruh teknik modelling simbolis terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas viii di smp negeri 13 tarakan. motivasi belajar adalah suatu daya penggerak atau pendorong yang ada pada dalam diri siswa untuk melakukan suatu aktivitas belajar untuk memperoleh arahan dan tujuan agar mencapai suatu perubahan tingkah laku yang lebih baik. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik modelling simbolis terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas viii smp negeri 13 tarakan. penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen menggunakan one group pretest-posstest design. populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 155 siswa dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 10 orang siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik random sampling. alat ukur yang digunakan yaitu skala motivasi belajar jenis skala likert. teknik analisis data menggunakan uji paired sample t-test dengan spss 22.0. berdasarkan uji analisis diketahui bahwa nilai signifikan 0.000 < 0,05 dan nilai t hitung 14,590 > t tabel 1.833, artinya ada pengaruh bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik modelling simbolis terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas viii di smp negeri 13 tarakan. kata kunci: bimbingan kelompok, motivasi belajar, teknik modelling simbolis

Learning motivation is a driving force that exists within students to carry out learning activities to obtain direction and goals to achieve a better change in behaviour. this research aimed to determine the application of group guidance using symbolic modelling techniques to the learning motivation of class viii students at smp negeri 13 tarakan. this research included quantitative research with an experimental approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. with a population of 155 students and a random sampling technique of 10 students. this research applied a likert scale to regulate a person's attitudes, opinions, and perceptions. based on the table of pretest and posttest score percentage results, it can be seen that the average result before students were given treatment was 131 with a medium categorization. in contrast, the average result after students were given treatment was an average of 163 with high categorization. based on comparing the averages before and after being given treatment with an increased score of 33. the data analysis technique from the results of the paired sample t-test hypothesis obtained by ha was accepted because the significant value was 0.000 < 0.05 and the calculated t value was 14.590 t table 1.833. therefore, group guidance is influenced by using symbolic modelling techniques to determine the learning motivation of class viii students at smp negeri 13 tarakan. keywords: group guidance, learning motivation, symbolic modelling techniques
