Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh model pembelajaran terhadap representasi matematis, pengaruh jenis kelamin terhadap representasi matematis, dan pengaruh interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan jenis kelamin terhdap representasi matematis siswa smp negeri 6 tarakan. jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan desain faktorial 2x2. populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah selurus siswa kelas viii smp negeri 6 tarakan. pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara simple random sampling. sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas viii-c sebagai kelas kontrol dan viii-d sebagai kelas eksperimen. pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes representasi matematis. teknis analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. analisis deskriptif meliputi rata-rata hitung, dan simpangan baku. analisis inferensial menggunakan analisis variansi dua jalur. berdasarkan hasil analisis dengan taraf signifikan 5% dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) model pembelajaran berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis dengan nilai p-value 0,005 (2) jenis kelamin tidak berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis dengan nilai p-value 0,335 (3) interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan jenis kelamin tidak berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis siswa smp negeri 6 tarakan dengan nilai p-value 0,107. kata kunci: model eliciting activities (meas), representasi matematis, jenis kelamin

The research aims to study the effect of learning models to mathematical representation, the effect of gender to mathematical representation at the eighth grade student of smpn 6 tarakan. the research is a quasi experiment with factorial 2x2 design. the population of this research is all of the eighth grade class of smpn 6 tarakan. the sampling technique was simple random sampling. the sample of this research are class viii-c as control class and viii-d as experiment class. the data collection was descriptive and inferensial analysis. descriptive analysis included mean and standard deviation inferential analysis used two way analysis of variance. based on the result of the analysis with a significance level 5%, it can be conclude that (1) learning models have an effect the mathematical representation with the p-value of 0,005, (2) the gender do not effect the mathematical representation with p-value of 0,335, (3) the interaction between learning models and gender do not effect the mathematical representation at the eighth grade student of smpn 6 tarakan with a p-value of 0,107. keyword: model eliciting activities (meas), mathematical representation, gender
