PENGARUH PEMBERIAN KITIN TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI TANAMAN CABAI (Gennus Annuum)

Tanaman cabai (gennus annuum) adalah salah satu komoditas sayuran yang sangat pontensial untuk dikembangkan dan merupakan salah satu sektor pertanian yang sangat penting dan memiliki peran strategis dalam ekonomi. indonesia dikenal sebagai salah satu produsen cabai terbesar di dunia. para petani cabai di berbagai daerah seperti jawa, sumatera, sulawesi, dan kalimantan berkontribusi secara signifikan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pasar lokal maupun ekspor. salah satu upaya yang di lakukan untuk meningkatkan produksi cabai adalah dengan pemberian kitin. tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian kitin yang efektif terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi cabai. penelitian ini dilaksanakan kurang lebih selama tiga bulan sejak desember 2022 hingga februari 2023 di lahan fakultas pertanian yang disusun menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok satu faktor dengan perlakuan pengaruh pemberian kitin pada tanaman cabai. setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 5 kali dan setiap ulangan terdiri dari 3 polybag pengamatan sehingga diperoleh 75 satuan percobaan. faktor perlakuan terdiri dari (kontrol) p1 (kontrol), p2 (1% kitin), p3 (2% kitin), p4 (3% kitin) dan p5 (4% kitin). hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian kitin berpengaruh nyata pada pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman. rata-rata jumlah daun tertinggi terjadi pada pemberian kitin 4% (p5) yakni 5.73 helai, rata-rata tinggi tanaman terbaik juga terjadi pada pemberian kitin 4% (p5) yakni 10.73 cm dan rata-rata jumlah buah tertinggi juga dimiliki oleh p5 (4% kitin) yakni 6.03 buah. kata kunci: cabai, kitin, pertumbuhan, produksi

He effects of chitin on the growth and production chill plants abstract chim is one of the highly imponant vegriable commodities that has the potential to be developed chuli is one of the most important agricultural sectors and has a strategic role in the country's economy wibowo, 2020) indonesia is recognized as one of the world's largest chils producer chair farmers in var regions such as java sumatra, sulawesi and kalimantan, contribute significa to local and export market needs. the indonesian government also plays an active role in supporting chili production technical assistance programs and subsidies for superior seeds fertilizers, and pesticides help farmers increase the productivity and quality of their crops (haubuan et al 20221 forts are being made to increase the effects of churn on the growth and production of chili crops through appropriate sul processing and dosing of chitin in the production of chili the purpose of the research was to determine the effect of chitin on the growth and production of chil the research was conducted for approximately three months from december 2022 to february 3023 at the farm of the faculty of agriculture the design used was the speriment, which was arranged using a one-factor group randomized design noth the treatment of the effect of chitin on chili plants each treatment was repeated fumes and each replicanon consisted of three observation polybags so 75 experimental ants were obtained the treatment factors consisted of control pt control p2 1 chitin p3 2 chitin p4 3 chitin, and ps 4% chitin the results showed that these of chitin had a significant effect on chili plant growth and prodiaction the parameters of observation were counting the number of leaves plant height and the number of leaves counted on the strands at mspt it was als the height of the plam at 4 mspt by placing the meter parallel to the surface of the plant at the top of the plant. the number of fruits was obtained by summing up the entire harvest that has been done keywords the use of chitin on chili plants fertilizers
