
SPESIFIKASI TEKNIS UNIT DAN KOMPOSISI IKAN TANGKAPAN UTAMA PADA PERIKANAN RAWAI (Longline) YANG DIDARATKAN DI KOTA TARAKAN

Kota tarakan pulau di provinsi kalimantan utara mempunyai potensi sumberdaya hayati laut melimpah. aktivitas penangkapan di kota tarakan adalah perikanan rawai (longline). penelitian keragaan teknis dilengkapi data ilmiah komposisi jenis dan ukuran ikan, data dasar ilmiah yang berguna dalam pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan dasar dalam kebijakan pengelolaan sumberdaya perikanan tangkap. tujuan menjelaskan spesifikasi teknis (keragaaan teknis dan metode pengoperasian) unit penangkapan, menguraikan komposisi jenis dan ukuran ikan serta hubungan keragaan unit penangkapan dan hasil tangkapan. metode riset menggunakan deksriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan purposive sampling yang dilakukan selama 2 bulan (januari – februari 2023) di tempat pendaratan ikan selumit pantai kota tarakan. hasil riset spesifikasi teknis unit penangkapan termasuk kategori rawai (longline) dengan dimensi / keragaan rerata panjang tali utama (main line) 3.986 cm, panjang tali cabang (branch line) 156 cm, jarak antar tali cabang (space intra branch line) 344 cm, ukuran mata pancing (hook size) nomor 7, jumlah mata pancing (hook count) 1.160 unit dan gross tonase kapal 6 gt. metode pengoperasian rawai (longline) tiga tahapan penurunan (setting), perendaman (soaking) dan penarikan / pengangkatan (hauling). jenis ikan tertangkap terdiri atas ikan merah (lutjanus sp.), ikan arut / gerot – gerot (pomadasys sp.) dan ikan kuwe / putih (caranx sp.). komposisi ukuran lutjanus sp. terbentuk 8 kelas, kisaran panjang total 21.5 – 73.0 cm dan berat 0.17 – 5.30 kg; pomadasys sp. 8 kelas, kisaran panjang total 27.0 – 60.5 cm dan berat 0.20 – 3.01 kg; caranx sp. terbentuk 7 kelas, kisaran panjang total 28.0 – 92.0 cm dan berat 0.3 – 13.6 kg. hubungan antara keragaan unit penangkapan (variabel branch line, space intra branch line, hook number, mechine power, gt kapal) dengan hasil tangkapan rawai dasar, pada regresi berganda (secara bersama) terdapat pengaruh nyata dan pada regresi sederhana / tunggal (secara parsial) tidak terdapat pengaruh walaupun nilai korelasi dan determinasinya ada kecenderungan hubungan yang linier antar variabel. kata kunci: rawai, perairan tarakan, keragaan teknis, regresi

Tarakan city is an island in north kalimantan province which has the potential for abundant marine biological resources such as fish. fishing activity is part of the utilization of fishery resources. one of the fishing activities in tarakan city is longline fishing. technical performance research, equipped with scientific data on the composition of fish species and size, is needed as basic scientific data that is useful in developing science and as a basis for management policies for capture fisheries resources. the research objective is to explain the technical specifications (technical performance and operational methods) of the fishing unit, describe the composition of fish species and size and explain the relationship between the performance of the fishing unit and the catch. the research method used descriptive quantitative with a purposive sampling approach carried out for 2 months (january – february 2023) at the selumit beach fish landing site, tarakan city. the research results show that the technical specifications of the fishing unit are included in the longline category with dimensions/performance of the average length of the main line (main line) 3986 cm, length of branch lines (branch line) 156 cm, distance between branch lines (space intra branch line) 344 cm , hook size number 7, hook count 1,160 units and ship gross tonnage of 6 gt. the longline operating method consists of three stages, namely setting, soaking and hauling. the types of fish caught consisted of red fish (lutjanus sp.), arut / gerot - gerot fish (pomadasys sp.) and kuwe / white fish (caranx sp.). size composition of lutjanus sp. 8 classes formed, total length range 21.5 – 73.0 cm and weight 0.17 – 5.30 kg; pomadasys sp. 8 classes, total length range 27.0 – 60.5 cm and weight 0.20 – 3.01 kg; caranx sp. 7 classes formed, total length range 28.0 – 92.0 cm and weight 0.3 – 13.6 kg. the relationship between fishing unit performance (branch line variables, intra branch line space, hook number, machine power, vessel gt) and basic longline catches, in multiple regressions (together/simultaneously) there is a real influence and in simple/single regressions (simultaneously) partial) there is no effect even though the correlation value and its determination there is a tendency for a linear relationship between variables. keywords: longline, tarakan waters, technical performance, regression
