Peneitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan r&d (reaserch and development) atau penelitian dan pengembangan yang menghasilkan suatu produk. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan produk berupa buku panduan konselor sebaya di sekolah menengah pertama yang teruji secara teoritis dengan memenuhi kriteria kelayakan produk. pengembangan produk buku panduan konselor sebaya ini mengadopsi tahapan model pengembangan borg and gall. produk tersebut dikembangkan dengan memenuhi kriteria akseptabilitas yang sesuai dengan aspek kegunaan, kelayakan,ketepatan dan kepatutan. untuk mengetahui akseptabilitas produk maka dilakukan uji ahli validasi materi, validasi ahli bahasa dan uji ahli pengguna produk. instrument penelitian ini berupa angket deskriptif persentase. hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dari validasi uji ahli menunjukkan bahwa produk buku panduan konselor sebaya di sekolah menengah pertama memenuhi kriteria akseptabilitas yang sesuai dengan aspek kegunaan, kelayakan, ketapatan, dan kepatutan. skor yang diperoleh dari hasil uji ahli materi (78%), validasi uji ahli bahasa (88%), dan uji ahli pengguna produk yang (95%) masuk kedalam kategori layak dan dapat digunakan. kata kunci: konselor sebaya

This research aimed to develop a product in the form of a guidebook for peer counselors in junior high school that was theoretically tested by accomplishing the product eligibility criteria. the development of this peer counselor guidebook product adopted the stages of borg and gall development model. the product was developed by fulfilling the requirements of the acceptability criteria in accordance with the aspects of usability, feasibility, accuracy, and appropriateness. to find out the product's acceptability, expert validation was conducted namely material validation, language validation, and product users. the research instrument was a percentage descriptive questionnaire. the results obtained from the expert validation showed that the peer counselor guidebook product in junior high school met the acceptability criteria according to the aspects of usability, feasibility, accuracy, and appropriateness. the scores obtained from the results of the material expert validation (78%), the language expert validation (88%), and the product user expert validation (95%) in which all validations were classified into proper categories and could be used properly. keywords: peer counselor guidebook, research and development
