Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat persepsi mahasiswa terhadap aplikasi google lens dalam mengidentifikasi tumbuhan pada mata kuliah taksonomi tumbuhan. jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian fenomologi dengan metode kualitatif. populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa pendidikan biologi angakatan 2017 di universitas borneo tarakan dengan jumlah sebanyak 12 mahasiswa yang telah menggunakan aplikasi google lens. keseluruhan data diperoleh berdasarkan jawaban dari angket persepsi yang disebarkan secara online melalui google form. hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rata-rata mahasiswa menyatakan mudah dalam menggunakan aplikasi google lens dalam mengidentifikasi tumbuhan pada pembelajaran biologi dan mahasiswa lebih memilih aplikasi google lens dibandingkan aplikasi serupa karena lebih membantu dan akurat, walaupun ada saat aplikasi tersebut dapat membuat keliru karena pilihan yang terdapat cukup banyak. kata kunci : persepsi, google lens, identifikasi tumbuhan

This study aims to know student’s percepcions toward google lens application in identifying plants in the plant taxonomy course. the type of this research is phenomenological research with a qualitative method. the population in this study is biology education students class in the year 2017, the university of borneo tarakan, with a total of 12 students who have used the google lens application. all the data were obtained based on answers from perception questionnaires and interviews that were distributed online through google forms. the results of the research showed that on average students stated that it was easy to use the google lens aplication in identifying plants in biology learning and students preferred to choose the google lens application compared to similar applications because it was more helpful and accurate, although the application could make mistakes when it was applicated because the choices were so many. keywords: perception, google lens, identifying plants.
