Faktor penghambat produksi ikan pada kegiatan pembenihan dan pembesaran yang disebabkan adanya infeksi bakteri menyebabkan rendahnya tingkat kelangsungan hidup benih ikan lele. tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui respon ikan lele (clarias gariepinus) yang diberi pakan tepung kunyit (curcuma domestica) dan hormon tiroksin yang diuji tantang dengan bakteri aeromonas hydrophilla. penelitian terdiri dari empat pelakuan penambahan tepung kunyit 0 gr/kg dan hormone tiroksin 0 mg/kg (p0); tepung kunyit 4,8 gr/kg (p1); hormon tiroksin 0,1 mg/kg (p2), tepung kunyit 4,8 gr/kg dan hormon tiroksin 0,1 mg/kg (p3), dengan tiga ulangan. parameter yang diamati meliputi respon makan, aktivitas renang, warna ikan, kelangsungan hidup, panjang mutlak, bobot mutlak dan kualitas air dan data dianalisis secara deskriptif, ikan yang dipelihara selama 90 hari selanjutnya diuji tantang dengan bakteri a. hydrophila selama 7 hari. hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan pertumbuhan bobot p0(8.13±0.19g) berbeda nyata dengan p1(21.60±2.29g), p2(20.88±0.35g), p3(22.54±1.67g). hasil pengamatan panjang terdapat perbedaan sebesar p0(5.94±0.23cm) berbeda nyata dengan perlakuan p1(12.50±0.58cm), p2(12.05±0.26cm), p3(12.71±0.37cm). gejala klinis menunjukkan terjadi infeksi bakteri pada p1,p2,p3 didapatkan kelulus hidupan tertinggi p1(95.40±4,00%), p2(97.92±3.60%), p3(97.78±3.84%), dan p0(88.11±5.70%). hasil pengukuran kualitas air meliputi suhu 270c-290c, ph 6-7 dan amoniak 2,730 mg/l. pemberian 4,8 gr/kg tepung kunyit dan hormon troksin 0,1 mg/kg pada pakan memberkan hasil yang siknifikan pada peningkatan imunitas dan pertumbuhan bobot dan panjang ikan lele dumbo (c. gariepenus). kata kunci: tepung kunyit, ikan lele dumbo, aeromonas hydrophila

Factors inhibiting fish production in hatchery and enlargement activities caused by bacterial infections result in low survival rates of catfish fry. the present research was to determine the response of catfish (clarias gariepinus) fed with turmeric flour (curcuma domestica) and thyroxine hormone and were then tested with aeromonas hydrophila bacteria. this research consisted of four applications for the addition of turmeric flour 0 gr/kg and thyroxine 0 mg/kg (p0); turmeric flour 4.8 gr/kg (p1); thyroxine hormone 0.1 mg/kg (p2), turmeric flour 4.8 gr/kg and thyroxine hormone 0.1 mg/kg (p3), whare each treatment was conducted in 3 repetitions. the parameters which were observed were feeding response, swimming activity, fish color, survival, absolute weight, and water quality. the data were then analyzed descriptively. the fish raised for 90 days were subsequently tested with aeromas hydrophila bacteria for 7 days. the results showed that the weight growth of p0 (8.13±0.19g) differed significantly from p1 (21±2.29g), p2 (20.88±0.35), and p3 (22.50±1.67g). the length of p0 (5.94±0.23cm) differed significantly from the treatment of p1 (12.50±0.58cm), p2 (12.05±o.26cm), and p3 (12.71±0.37cm). the clinical symptoms indicated that the bacterial infections that occurred in p1, p2, dan p3 obtained the highest survival efficiency in p1 (95.40±4.00%), p2 (97.92±3.60%), p3 (97.78±3.84%) and p0 (88.11±5.70%). the water quality measurements consisted of temperature 27oc-29oc, ph 6-7 and ammonia 2,730 mg/l. adding 4.8 gr/kg of turmeric flour and thyroxine hormone 0.1 mg/kg in the fish feed resulted in an increase in immunity, growth, weigth and length of the catfish (clarias gariepenus). keywords: turmeric flour, dumbo catfish, aeromonas hydrophila
