Mikroplastik adalah fragmen dari plastik yang terdegradasi, ukuran partikel dari mikroplastik yaitu kurang dari 5 mm. tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui keberadaan, bentuk, warna, dan ukuran mikroplastik pada ikan bandeng (chanos-chanos) di tambak kota tarakan. metode penelitian dilakukan dengan cara identifikasi karakteristik mikroplastik berupa jenis, warna dan ukuran mikroplastik. hasil yang ditemukan pada lokasi juwata permai ada 152 parrtikel mikroplastik diantaranya bentuk fiber, film, fragmen, dan filamen. ukuran yang ditemukan yaitu mulai dari 40-60 µm sampai >5000 µm. hasil yang ditemukan pada lokasi belakang bandara ada 79 parrtikel mikroplastik diantaranya bentuk fiber, film, fragmen, dan filamen. ukuran yang ditemukan yaitu mulai dari 40-60 µm sampai >5000 µm. hasil yang ditemukan pada lokasi islamic center ada 94 parrtikel mikroplastik diantaranya bentuk fiber, film, fragmen, dan filamen. ukuran yang ditemukan yaitu mulai dari 100-500 µm sampai >5000 µm. dari tiga lokasi tambak yaitu tambak juwata permai, tambak belakang bandara, dan tambak islamic center masing-masing ditemukan warna mikroplastik yang sama diantaranya warna biru, coklat, hijau, hitam, merah, kuning, putih, dan putih bening. kata kunci: identifikasi, keberadaan, warna, bentuk, ukuran, mikroplastik
