Abstrak Indonesia

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada siswa kelas v sdn 004 tanjung palas, adapun yang melatarbelakanginya yaitu berdasarkan ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa hanya sekitar 40% ( 8 orang ) yang mendapat nilai ≥ kkm 70 dengan nilai rata-rata 59,7 kriteria kurang, gaya mengajar yang pasif dan masih monoton, dan siswa yang kurang aktif mengikuti pelajaran. maka dari itu peneliti melakukan ptk dengan menggunakan metode demonstrasi. berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, maka peneliti merumuskan masalah yaitu, “bagaimana penerapan metode demonstrasi dapat meningkatan hasil belajar ipa materi cahaya dan sifat sifatnya pada siswa kelas v sdn 004 tanjung palas?“, dengan tujuan untuk meningkatan hasil belajar ipa materi cahaya dan sifat-sifatnya melalui metode demonstrasi pada siswa kelas v sdn 004 tanjung palas. penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas, yang berlangsung sebanyak dua siklus,. penelitian ini dilakukan dengan membandingkan data awal dari guru dengan penelitian siklus i dan siklus ii dan masing- masing siklus terdiri dari dua kali pertemuan. subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas v sdn 004 tanjung palas yang berjumlah 20 siswa, objek penelitian adalah penggunakan metode demonstrasi. prosedur penelitian yang digunakan adalah perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, refleksi. sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan observasi, tes hasil belajar, dan dokumentasi pada setiap siklusnya. hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa hasil belajar ipa siswa pada setiap siklus mengalami peningkatan yaitu dari nilai rata-rata data awal sebesar 59,7 kriteria kurang, meningkat pada siklus i sebesar 69,8 kriteria cukup, dan meningkat pada siklus ii sebesar 80,05 dengan kriteria sangat baik. berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode demonstrasi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar ipa materi cahaya dan sifat sifatnya pada siswa kelas v sdn 004 tanjung palas, setelah dilakukan 2 siklus terjadi peningkatan persentase ketuntasan dari data awal yaitu 40% (8 siswa), meningkat pada siklus i sebesar 60 % (12 siswa), dan meningkat pada siklus akhir (siklus ii) sebesar 90 % (18 siswa). persentase ketuntasan akhir yaitu 90 % lebih dari indikator keberhasil klasikal 75% maka penelitian ini dikatakan telah berhasil. kata kunci: hasil belajar, cahaya dan sifat-sifatnya, metode demonstrasi

This study was conducted in the fifth grade students at sdn 004 tanjungpalas, this study was happen based on the result of the criteria of success, there were 40% (8 students) got score more than the criteria of success 70got the average score 59,7 classified in low category, the teacher always used conventional way in conducting the teaching learning process as the result the students really bored to following the teaching learning process that conducting by the teacher. based on the background, the researcher conducted class action research by applying demonstration method and had the problem statement “ how the application of demonstration method to improve the learning result of science in the light and characteristics material at the fifth grade students at sdn 004tanjungpalas?”, with the objective of the research was to improve the learning result of science in the light and characteristics material by applying demonstration method in the fifth grade students at sdn 004 tanjung palas. this research employed class action research (car), by conducting in 2 cycles. this study was conducting by compering first data from the teacher in the first cycle and second cycle. for each cycles conducting by 2 meetings. the subject of this study was the fifth grade students at sdn 004 tanjungpalas with the total 20 students; the object of this study was used demonstration method. the procedure of this research was used planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. meanwhile, the data was analyzed by using observation sheets, test and documentation in every cycle. the result of data analysis showed that the learning result of the students in every cycle had the improvement there were from the average of students’ score in first cycle was 59,7 classifieds in low category and got the improvement in the first cycle that was 69,8 in fair category and also had the improvement in the second cycle that was 80,05 in very good category. based on the result of this study it can be concluded that the application of demonstration method could improve the learning result of science in the light and characteristics material of fifth grade students at sdn 004 tanjungpalas, by applying 2 cycles, the researcher got the improvement of passing percentage from the first data that was 40%(8 students, got the improvement in first cycle 60% (12 students) and also got the improvement in the second cycle that was 90%(18 students). the last of passing percentage that was 90% more than the indicator of classical success 75%. in the other word, it can be concluded that this research was success. keywords: learning result, light and the characteristics, demonstration method
