
Meningkatkan Jumlah Telur Dan Larva Ikan Lele Dumbo (Clarias gariepinus) Melalui Penambahan Tepung Kunyit (Curcuma domestika) Dan Hormon Tiroksin Pada Pakan Induk

Produksi ikan lele sering kali terhambat di kegiatan pembenihan yaitu disebabkan oleh tingginya tingkat kematian larva pada minggu-minggu pertama setelah penetasan karena yolk pada telur yang berfungsi sebagai cadangan makanan sedikit sehingga menyebabkan larva kekurangan cadangan makanan. oleh karena itu diperlukan usaha yang intensif dalam meningkatkan produksi benih ikan lele. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan jumlah telur dan larva ikan lele dengan penggunaan tepung kunyit dan hormon tiroksin pada pakan. penelitian ini menggunakan 4 perlakuan dengan dosis p 1 (kontrol atau tanpa pemberian tepung kunyit dan hormon tioksin), p2 (penambahan kunyit 4.8 gr/kg pakan), p3 (penambahan tiroksi 0,1 mg/kg pakan) dan p4 (penambahan kunyit 4,8 gr/kg pakan dan tiroksi 0,1 mg/kg pakan). hasil penelitian menunjukkan berat induk pada akhir penelitian p1 (600 gr), p2 (625 gr), p3 (631 gr) dan p4 (650 gr). fekunditas telur yang dihasilkan pada penelitian ini yaitu p1 (25.493 butir), p2 (27.242 butir), p3( 27.648 butir) dan p4 (30,081 butir). diameter telur ikan hasil perlakuan yaitu p1 (0,041 mm), p2 (0,042 mm), p3 (0,041 mm) dan p4 (0,043 mm). jumlah larva yang dihasilkan p1 (20.151 individu), p2 (24.320 individu), p3 (25,503 individu) dan p4 (29.485 individu). berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan penambahan tepung kunyit dan hormon tiroksin pada pakan dapat meningkatkan kualitas telur dan larva ikan lele. kata kunci: induk lele, diameter telur, fekunditas, vitelogenin

Catfish production is often hampered in hatchery activities, which is caused by the high mortality rate of larvae in the first weeks after hatching because the yolk in the eggs which serves as a food reserve is low, causing the larvae to lack food reserves. therefore, intensive efforts are needed to increase catfish seed production. this study aims to increase the number of eggs and larvae of catfish by using turmeric flour and thyroxine hormone in feed. this study used 4 treatments with doses of p1 (control or without giving turmeric flour and thioxin hormone), p2 (addition of turmeric 4.8 g/kg feed), p3 (addition of thyroxine 0.1 mg/kg feed) and p4 (addition of turmeric 4, 8 g/kg feed and thyroxine 0.1 mg/kg feed). the results showed that the weight of the broodstock at the end of the study was p1 (600 gr), p2 (625 gr), p3 (631 gr) and p4 (650 gr). the fecundity of eggs produced in this study were p1 (25,493 eggs), p2 (27,242 eggs), p3 (27,648 eggs) and p4 (30,081 eggs). the diameters of fish eggs from the treatment were p1 (0.041 mm), p2 (0.042 mm), p3 (0.041 mm) and p4 (0.043 mm). the number of larvae produced was p1 (20,151 individuals), p2 (24,320 individuals), p3 (25,503 individuals) and p4 (29,485 individuals). based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the addition of turmeric flour and thyroxine hormone to feed can improve the quality of catfish eggs and larvae. keywords: catfish parent, egg diameter, fecundity, vitellogenin
